Rick Perry “failed fundamental character test” with anti-gay ad
SFGate: Politics Blog ^ | 12/9/11 | Joe Garofoli, Chronicle Political Writer

Rick Perry is waaaaaaaaay behind in polls everywhere, so he’s literally throwing a Hail Mary pass to Iowa’s conservative evangelical Christian community with a new TV ad that is getting pounded across the political spectrum — and even from within Perry’s campaign — for its anti-gay message.

“I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m a Christian,” Perry says in the ad currently in heavy rotation in Iowa. “But you don’t need to be in the pew every Sunday to know that there’s something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military, but our kids can’t openly celebrate Christmas or pray in school.

“As President, I’ll end Obama’s war on religion, and I’ll fight against liberal attacks on our religious heritage.

Top GOP strategist Steve Schmidt — who ran both John McCain’s 2008 prez campaign and CA Guv Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 2006 re-elect — called the ad “despicable,” . . .

I saw the ad before I saw it on FR. I knew Perry would get in trouble for it. It is not PC. No one mentions that it wrong that kids can't say Christmas. BTW didn't I hear that the word holidays comes from “Holy days”?

So to all my freeper friends, happy Holy Days, the days when Mary and Joseph traveled to Bethlehem where Jesus Christ was born!

Maybe if we say Holy Days instead of holiday we can cause some libturds heads to explode!

Back in June when the possibility of a Palin campaign was being bandied about, this was my dream ticket...

Photobucket

"All these candidates have strengths. Rick Perry and his 2nd Amendment support and that's indicative of he being a constitutional conservative who understands that the Federal Government cannot take away the rights that are inherent, written out very clearly in our Constitution."

"At the end of the day it will be that GOP Constitutional Conservative candidate who we do need to support. We need to back this person up."

Source-Sarah Palin Interview with Sean Hannity-Dec.1,2011

Sarah Palin had comments about Cain,Romney,Gingrich,Perry,Santorum,Paul and Bachman. Her remarks were complimentary of all the candidates, with added praise for Rick Santorum.

The only candidate she referred to specifically as a "constitutional conservative" was Rick Perry.

John Wayne wore that same jacket in many of his films. Does that make HIM gay, too?

I swear .. the "logic" utilized by those tools on the LoonyLeft is hilarious!
