Most all of the 1911 manufactures make a quality pistol nowadays.

I bought a Rock island Armory 1911 commander with a bull barrel for $350 I love that thing! I had to polish the feed ramp , but that thing works like a hose!

I would avoid old Llamas and AMT's

Most likely Armscors which is the same thing as Rock Island Armory.

They work fine.

I bought my wife an Armscor 4” barreled .38 SPL service revolver a few years ago. It’s a very straight shootin gun.

Thanks for the link.

On the low end 1911’s I find that if you just polish the feed ramp with a bit of Herbs Yellowstone on a piece of belt leather folded to a “U” that fits the feed ramp, fixes them up real good.

They will eat anything if you do that.

You are correct. They started in Canada, then in 2009 opened the U.S. headquarters down in North Carolina.

I am really only familiar with their 1911’s
And they are a lot of value for the money.

I got all of mine for $350 a pop
Full size
Commander
and Officers model

They all work great

I entered a contest the other day for a Ruger M77 Hawkeye rife, chambered in 7mm-08 Rem. I’m not at all familiar with that round. What would it be suitable for? Varmints, big game, zombies?
