Spin Spin Spin

And, Perry would win that bet.

Fox is so in the tank for Romney - it’s revolting. They are giving Romney an open forum on several Fox programs - to correct all his dumb debate performances.

He makes no substantive comments on his policies or platform - always about his personal self - his parents’ influence on being an American - ??? like sending him to France during VietNam.

CW - respect your Perry support - I would like to see a Newt/Rick ticket. Don’t kill me!!! LOL!!

RINOmney is example two that our top schools are - perhaps -chrome-coated plastic.

The Cretin-in-Chief is, of course, example one.

Can you imagine any real college of the 50s graduating that clown?

“Outrageous number to answer outrageous claim” is a
classic well-crafted response, obviously designed by
Romney’s advisers-—say what they will, that moment was
equivalent to Perry’s brain-freeze about the Departments
he would eliminate. The net results, at least temporary , will be evident in the Iowa primary vote.

As a non-Morman, I am curious, what does the LDS church say about making bets?

Non-issue. It was truly LOL when the libs in the media focused on this. Gee wiz $10k is 3 months pay for the average American! What a joke. I doubt there is a clock that can measure the interval in which the Federal government p_sses away $10k because it happens in the blink of an eye. Romney is an out of touch rich guy, but Moochelle flies to Spain on vacation, they fly pizza in from Chicago, and on, and on. Give me a break. I'm not a Romneybot, but this class warfare crap is just a tool applied when it suits them.

"Romney said his bet offer was simply meaningless hyperbole."

Meaningless hyperbole is a quality I always look for in a presidential candidate. It's so very...presidential. < /sarc>

I could care less that Romney decided to bet $10K with Rick Perry. But I can say without equivocation that his attempt to walk it back and rationalize it is so typically Romney that it merely confirms to me why I will only vote for him if he is the candidate, holding my nose and only because anything is better than 4 more years of Obama.

He’s a venture capitalist. Betting is what venture capitalists do. Maybe not in Vegas, but that may just be that the stakes aren’t high enough. Under that whitebread facade is a gambler, someone who is willing to go all in with an empty hand. Whether that is the kind of person we need as president is another discussion. But for him to hide who he is (even when it leaks out as in this $10K gaffe) is strangely reminiscent of the current occupant of the White House.

The press’ reaction to this is telling me that they have changed tactics, and will just pig-pile on everything they can to save Obama. Whoever wins the primary will be the most investigated person in history.

They’re saying Romney is out of touch... have you seen the price of Arugula lately? Those highly paid “news” shills are out of touch.

I would wager $10,000 that Romney is full of it.

Mitt bet $10,000 because it was the largest bill in his wallet.

I so enjoy watching Perry get under Willard’s thin skin. You can tell he gets a kick out of it. Too bad he can’t just challenge Mitt to go out back and settle it like men. Perry would whip him until the grease flew off his hair.

I’ve seen lots of talk and print on “The Bet,” but nothing on what the bet actually was.

Does anybody know what Romney stated in his proposed bet?

BTW, I’ll bet nobody else knows either.
