A former commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, which the FBI says played a role in a 1996 terrorist attack that killed 19 U.S. servicemen, accompanied Iraq’s prime minister to the White House on Monday, attending an event at which President Obama trumpeted the end of the Iraq War.

Hadi Farhan al-Amiri, transportation minister in Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s government, was part of the delegation that visited the White House to discuss Iraq’s future and Iran’s influence there, among other topics.

-excerpt -

Louis J. Freeh, who served as FBI director in the Clinton administration and the early months of the George W. Bush administration, said it was shocking that Mr. al-Maliki would include Mr. al-Amiri in his visit to Washington.

Well, O said that history will judge America’s decision to go to war and that the soldiers have nothing to be ashamed of. He obviously knew about this guy. Al Maliki will formalize the friendly relationship with Iran soon. We’ve surrendered again.

The FBI linked the Revolutionary Guard to the attack on the Khobar Towers in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, on June 25, 1996. Nineteen U.S. servicemen were killed by a bomb blast at the towers, which were housing American military personnel.

“As a senior leader, [Mr. al-Amiri] would have to have known about Khobar, and he would know Gen. [Ahmad] Sherifi, who was the IRGC general that conducted the operation,” Mr. Freeh said.

Lucky for Obama the press is in the dem's pockets. Had Bush don't this it'd be front page stuff... As is, it won't warrant much. Still an outrage...

Who knew that the SEIU had enlisted the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps to join? That gives them immediate access to The One.

Obama is still palling around with terrorists, I see.

Disgusting - even if it requires a “diplomatic incident” that scumbag should never be allowed to set foot on US soil, never mind visit the White House in an official delegation.

He may very well have been involved in providing IED’s that killed or injured our soldiers in Iraq.

I’d like to see military families publicly express their outrage at Obama & his people not only allowing this man to enter the country, but allowing this man to enter the peoples’ White House.

Louis Freeh is too tactful. Who, in the US govt, approved the delegation list? The buck stops with Obama, the vision-provider.

Why would Freeh be shocked? What cave did he crawl from?

While you were cave dwelling, Mr. Freeh, Obama has been busy transforming America. Just like he promised, he is hard at work fundamentally changing America. You obviously missed the memo.

For those of us who have remained on the surface, well, it’s not all that shocking. It’s merely business as usual from the Obama administration. Transformation and all that jazz.

Actually, his ‘shock’ was directed at al Maliki for inviting al Amiri on the trip.

Think of it as new ammunition for our side to use in a campaign commercial.
