It's about growing government. That applies to both parties. The monster needs to be so big that one side makes money from it's size and scope and the other side makes money from keeping you off it's menu at feeding time.

Either way, big government pays.

too right. The Bush admin would send up a budget and Danny Hastert, Tom Delay and others would increase it 15% or more. So to ask for moderates is a stupid concept - we need government not tax cutters. If someone would start saying I want the size of the gov to be equal to 2006 that would be a start.
