Jet Fuel-Gate Is Obama's New Solyndra
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 12/13/11 | Staff

Posted on 12/13/2011 5:56:21 PM PST by Nachum

Ecofanaticism: SolyndraGate was no isolated case of corrupt government misspending. The U.S. Navy was just forced to buy 450,000 gallons of biofuels from an Obama-connected firm at an outrageous $16 per gallon. The massive Obama stimulus was supposed to generate millions of jobs, but the $535 million loan guarantee it gave to solar panel maker Solyndra on the eve of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy illustrated the fundamental incompetence of Obama's neo-Keynesian economic ideology. Now we find the Navy partnering with the Agriculture Department to purchase hundreds of thousands

Imagine the name Bush or Haliburten being in the story? How can reused oil be $16/gal or is the Secretary Chu boondoggle?

I will offer one plausible defence for alternate-fuel capability and that is in a SHTF scenario other sources need to be rapidly deployed, so that there is a strategic interest in maintaining some infrastucture for doing that.

My example would be Germany converting to coal gasification, etc. when their oil supplies were cut off.

That lesson speaks more highly of coal than soy diesel or ethanol, etc. but an astute republic would be vigilant to such needs in light of the present oil equilibrium.

I doubt much of this is on the current administration’s radar, however.

biofuel — $16 per gallon.

reg JP-5 fuel — typically costs less than $4 a gallon.

“T. J. Glauthier, is a ‘strategic advisor’ at Solazyme, the California company that is selling a portion of the biofuel to the Navy. Glauthier worked — shock, shock — on the energy-sector portion of the 2009 stimulus bill.””

Solazyme already got $22 million from the 2009 stimulus.

This is organized crime, and SecNav Ray Mabus is complicit in this conspiracy to defraud the Navy.

I've been putting this sticker on gas pumps:

"Somehow we have to figure
out how to boost the price of
gasoline to the [$8-$10/gal]
levels in Europe." - Barrack Obama's
Energy Secretary Steve Chu. Had enough yet???

I've sized mine to fit twelve to a sheet of bumper sticker stock...

The continuity part: “How doe we Liberals hijack the military as a lab for our stupid ideas...?”

The change part: “How do we weave EXTREEEEME graft into this lab...?”

Remember what qualified as extreme military graft when BUSH was Prez:

Soldiers took one plate for food, covering with another plate, and Halliburton then charged for TWO meals (i.e. by the plate)

Remember the screaming? I sure do.

But NOW? Waaaaaaay beyond that, but SILENCE.

And how much in political contributions were made after this sweetheart contract was awarded? Again, all of this “green economy” stuff the Regime is pushing is a money laundering scam. Our tax dollars are doled out to Obama’s cronies that spew the politically correct line, as long as some of it gets channeled to the DNC and other politically correct campaigns. This is clearly in RICO territory.

According to some, the death of one known as "Mabus" will herald some cataclysmic event. The actual mention of Mabus is restricted to C2, Q62 where we see Mabus described:

'Mabus' then will soon die, there will come
Of people and beasts a horrible rout:
Then suddenly one will see vengeance,
Hundred, hand, thirst, hunger when the comet will run.
Just sayin'...

They come too fast for any single story to gain traction. It is a good tactic and it’s effective for this administration as long as they have an incestuous relationship with the media.

Any one of these scandals would have created a firestorm under Bush. Outside of blogs like this one, talk radio, and news junkies this stuff does not even register with the average voter. I hope there is a cumulative effect by next November but I suspect the only people outraged by this stuff were not going to vote for Zero anyways.

It's OK. The media will give him a pass. He's scandal-free because nothing he does is labeled a scandal.

Instead of the Monopoly "Get out of jail free" cards, he has an unlimited supply of "Get out of embarrassment free" cards.

I recall when the MSM went wild with accusations when they “discovered” that independent contractors were delivering fuel to our soldiers in Afganistan (in a war zone) for something like $8/gal. They claimed it was a Halliburton rip-off, a KBR rip-off, a Bush family rip-off, that Dick Cheney was pocketing millions from it. Was just a few years ago.

We heard the ludicrous excuse last week from Obama Navy Secretary Ray Mabus, as quoted in the National Journal, that "we are doing this for one simple reason: It makes us better fighters" because "our use of fossil fuels is a very real threat to our national security and to the U.S. Navy ability to protect America and project power overseas."

Alternate reaction to Mabus' statement: "Well, I've been to one world fair, a picnic, and a rodeo, and that's the stupidest thing I've ever seen come across a computer screen" with apologies to Maj. Kong.

Your post hits the nail on the head.
I feel like I’ve aged 40 years since “Bathhouse Barry” was selected.
The crimes come too quick to be fully digested, even by those of us who feared this regime.
It’s psychological warfare.
