Climate change: the risk of waiting for proof (barf alert)
quad community press ^ | 12-14-11 | Cindy Ojczyk

Should we act on climate change now or wait? While an international majority of scientists believes climate change is real, a minority of scientists and majority of politicians want you to wait. After all, behavior change should not be mandated or government regulated - especially without proof.

UBS Wealth Management, a financial services company working with high/ultra high net worth clients, published a comprehensive report to its investors in January of 2007 titled "Climate Change: Beyond Whether." Its findings suggest we can follow one of three paths: 1) Take a wait-and-see approach 2) Act now and risk investment if nothing happens or 3) Act now and gain the reward of planning for change. The 106 pages detail the science of climate change, the economics of climate change, global policy and regulatory environment, and investment risks and opportunities.

Wait and see? If the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is right, how will you, your house, your homeowners' insurance, your community, and your business/employer/job fare if we continue to experience a rise in extreme weather events like tornadoes, floods and hail?

Act now and risk investment if nothing happens? According to the GSA (General Services Administration) website, the "GSA will eliminate its impact on the natural environment and use its government-wide influence to reduce environmental impact of the federal government." GSA is the independent arm of the U.S. government that purchases products and services, owns and leases office space, and runs fleet vehicles for all federal agencies.

“Wait and see? If the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is right, how will you, your house, your homeowners’ insurance, your community, and your business/employer/job fare if we continue to experience a rise in extreme weather events like tornadoes, floods and hail?”

One wonders how the great climate change mitigators such as solar array farms and wind turbine fields will stand up to such extreme weather events as hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and hail.

“I’m still trying to figure out how global warming will melt enough ice to raise the seas over the entire planet two feet.”

I’m still trying to figure out what they are going to do if they cool the planet too much.

Shall we shoot ourselves in the head now or later ?

The warmers need to understand that their HOAX has been exposed. All this “the majority of scientists” crap is a lie. Their ‘puter models are NOT reality, and so far have been entirely wrong in their predictions.

Globull warming is simply a ruse to cover the imposition of world socialism. Nothing more, nothing less.

IIRC, the University of Michigan used to have some full-size “green” home experiment and it all fell apart and cost an arm and a leg.

I’m betting the author of this piece has a vested monetary business interest in the gubmint forcing these green standards on municiple buildings.

To become green the owners of our office buildings hired some immigrants to rope down the building and screw all the windows shut from the outside.

Why don’t we just start tossing virgins into volcanos to placate Goddess Gaia?

If we use mooselimb virgins we will placate two deities with each virgin sacrifice.

Gaia will be happy with the virgins and allah will be happy because he is preserving virgins for his warriors.

A win/win or one virgin in the volcano is better than two mooslimbs with a Bush.

Manipulators...

I have a final today in social psychology. The mission:

“Emphasis on Application: Applying social psychology to practical issues regarding health, law, work settings, and environmental issues.”

Straight quote from Pearson Study Card. Not only is Newt being manipulated, but SO ARE THE VOTERS. Why wouldn’t Newt use these same principles to get elected?????

He sees how the environmentalists get everyone to recycle, to keep OSHA standards, kill the unborn (the most horrific), and vote for law changes.

I BET MY BOTTOM NICKEL that is how he got his CONTRACT FOR AMERICA through the first time. Using these manipulations NEWT could very well take over.

Crowd psychology has always been an interest of mine. I’ve spent a lot of years watching people and I have a pretty good idea of how easily people can be manipulated.

I’ve studied Edward Bernays pretty extensively and his methods work as well as when he got Americans to eat bacon, showed Americans that Calvin Coolidge was a regular guy who eats pancakes for breakfast, or as well as they did when Joseph Goebbels manipulated Germans into slaughtering Jews by the millions.

We see the same old crowd manipulation methods around us all the time.
