Ping for later viewing (when I’m not half asleep).
Has Greta gotten her head straight, and left the dark side? When she first started on national CATV, I think CNN, she was the most rabid defender of Bill Clinton during his impeachment proceedings on the cable. It seems that lately, she might actually be showing signs of redemption. Or am I seeing things?
Thank you very much IowaHawk. I tuned in only to see the first few minutes preempted on the replay, due to the Idaho mine issue. Sad...
At any rate, I wanted to DVD this one, and you just provided a great copy. Excellent.
Folks can say what they want, but thank God we have a guy like Rush out there.
During this interview he laid out the mortgage crisis better than I’ve seen anyone else do it. He bagged Frank, Pelosi, Clinton, Cater... just an excellent detailed summation.
Folks, some of you think our side was complicit too, and I do agree with that. It was still the brain-child of the Left, and it’s important it is tied around their necks.
We can’t help it if some of our players act the part of Leftists, but it is not Conservatism’s goal to implement things like this. It is the Left’s goal.
Who would be out there delivering this message, if not Rush.
Just excellent.
I suspect that she has seen that the ratings are on the right.
I don’t watch her all the time, but I’d term it like I’ve seen others do it.
She grants a reasonable interview and lets the guest say what they want to say. I don’t think she agrees with them, but she isn’t abusively confrontational.
Tonight’s interview was quite good. She’d ask a question and let Rush run with it.
I do not think she’s particularly in sync with Conservatism by any means. Others may see it differently.
You got that right D1. Rush was on fire for sure. He nailed it. Rush was able to sum up what needs to be said about BO-The-ZerO and why he is so beatable in very crisp sound bites. In less that 40 minutes he laid out a complete road map to defeating BO-The-ZerO. Republican presidential candidates need to be taking notes is they want to win.
You know, If Rush suddenly decided to run for President this week, the rest of the GOP field would just pack up and go home. Hell Odumbi would pack up and go home.
just sayin....
Thanks Captain Beyond. Your comments about him laying out a road-map were good too. Right on target.
He also covered the RNC’s mindset to ignore and avoid Conservatives. He said the RNC doesn’t want to listen to us, and frankly won’t, but they do want our votes.
He explained the old 40/40/20 rule in a clear concise way.
Then he trashed the Republican party’s practice of not wooing the base, but cutting to the chase to bring in the independent vote. At times Rush is in the bag for the RNC, I have to acknowledge that, but in this interview he just blistered the RNC. Excellent!
Thanks for the response.
Save for later
Thanks for the links.
I caught most, if not all of the interview, but I had an interruption. It seems like it may have been run twice
on my Satellite
He was classic Rush....No stumbling or couching of his remarks.
I think Conservatives should be taking notes also, since he made the point that we need to support whoever the candidate is. Our primary mission should be to remove the Marxist from office.
I disagree with him on one thing though, I wouldn't exclude Ron Paul from the list of candidates that can beat Obama. I think Ron Paul has some uniquely interesting dynamics that would capture a significant portion of the independents. That's not an endorsement, that's just an observation. Of course, that's with the understanding that as a formula, the base would support whatever candidate.
Speaking of running for President. I sure would love Sarah to run.
You and me both, friend, but it ain’t gonna happen.

“Let Rush run with it”, I guess. This was the radio program taken to the TV with Greta playing the role of the caller, sans stating much in the way of her own opinion. The format was made for Rush. On one hand, I appreciate the lack of interruption and allowing the interview subject to make a point with a complete thought. Alternatively, well-crafted questions that challenge the subject to provide insights that would have been missed or glossed over are where real interview masters have value. It is a rare skill.
There hasn’t been any enthusiasm on the conservative side since Palin said, “No.”
I haven’t been enthusiastic about the Republican candidate since...I don’t know when!

The analogy is this...
The current field is oatmeal mush...
Sarah is the 14 oz. Prime Cut @ Smith and Wolinski's...
I work my butt off for they steak, the oatmeal mush, not so much...
It sounds like Rush is leaning strongly toward Gov. Rick Perry. (Part 3 — even though the end of their exchange about politics is cut off in mid-comment.)

If she's still a Scientologist she hasn't.
If you check into the lawsuits and other wars Perry and his office have been having with the Obama Administration it will surprise you. Talk is good and Newt crafts a nice message although dig a little deeper and there some serious stink. Perry is doing the fighting and Obama does not want to fight Perry because he loses every time he does.
Greta had an easy night, all she had to do mainly was sit back and listen. Rush Limbaugh is probably the best extemporaneous conservative speaker ever. You just know that he didn't have to "study up" for the interview and if he ever tried using a teleprompter, he probably would screw up. I'd pay really big bucks to watch Rush and Obama debate. I believe he'd have Obama in tears real quick.
Are you old enough to have voted for Reagan? Those were exciting times to be a Conservative!
I voted for Reagan when I was in the first grade. He won my class.
Perry seems like a good man, and I’m sure there’s more to him than what I know, but with perception as it is, he hasn’t fared all that well in the debates and I want a strong fighter. As I said though, if he takes the nomination, he has my full support.

Gov. Perry is the fighter. That you think otherwise, is testament to the effectiveness of selective reporting.

You and I just happen to disagree, that's all.
.......”Pollster Scott Rasmussen told The Washington Examiner he will release an Iowa poll Thursday that shows Perry’s numbers are improving to the point that he could win over a large percentage of undecided voters.
“There is an opportunity for things to be much different come January 3 than they look today,” Rasmussen said.”

Thank you for posting this! I’m only through part 1. Terrific so far!
thx again
Me too.
Having never to my recollection seen a presentation on television by a Conservative that explained the Mortgage Crisis and the Republican Party’s disdain for Conservatives in such detail, I can’t fault Susterin’s interview style here.
He touched on other issues as well.
IMO, the guests are the stars on these shows. Almost 100% of the time, the interviewer tries to come off as the real star. These people ask questions one after another, and hardly every allow for a full detailed response.
Can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen a guest get right to the meat of an issue, only to have the interviewer change subjects never to return to the issue at hand. Talk about frustrating.
I know Rush gets to talk every day. The thing is, here is a different medium that allows the public to see him touching on very important concepts.
I really appreciated the presentation.
Iowamark: This was an EXCELLENT interview! Thanks for posting.
When does any television audience have the opportunity to hear someone speak with such brutal honesty (especially about Obama and his agenda)!
To Rush listeners and most of us on FR, Rush didn't say anything we haven't already heard and don't already know, but to TV watchers only, this interview must have been quite shocking.
I hope Fox repeats this interview often over the weekend.
FReepers: See top of this thread for video links.
BTTT
I watched Rush on Greta last night. He was awesome! Greta is the best interviewer at FOX because she allows her guests to fully answer the question.
Exactly!
Old enough...just that back then, I wasn’t smart enough! In 1984, I was a raging lib and, not only voted for Mondale/Ferraro, but actually campaigned for them during the build-up to the Labor Day rally in Lower Manhattan.
Whenever I begin to doubt my salvation (through Christ’s work on the cross received/believed in 1986) I need only remind myself of the schlub I was before Christ came into my life!
Rush Limbaugh is the angel on the Christmas tree of liberty.
I am glad he tore into the RNC establisment and hopefully it will be a wake up call for them. We as the Tea Party need to start making our voice heard loudly from here on out.
Gets my vote...
