Anti-Islam extremists exerted huge pressures on the advertising companies that deal with the TLC American channel, and they called on the companies to pull their ads from the channel and force it to stop broadcasting the program All-American Muslim, having raised much controversy in the American circles due to the fact that it sheds light on the social, political and religious reality of the Muslims
Lowes company, a home-improvement chain, decided to pull its advertising having faced a fierce campaign led by anti-Islam extremists
The company had received a stream of emails rejecting the All-American Muslim program from individuals and groups of different and diverging political and social orientations. In response to the emails, the company decided to pull its ads from this program
On its part, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in Washington declared that the calls for boycotting the merchandises of the companies advertising on TLC channel came from certain internet websites that are known for their hostility against Islam, such as Bare Naked Islam, which has recently released a number of threats against a number of mosques in the United States of America and Europe, as well as other rightist extremist groups such as the Florida Family Association, American Decency and others
It must be noted that the program on TLC channel started showing last October, and it sheds light on the lives of a number of Muslim American citizens going through different challenges. Moreover, the program chose Dearborn city, in which a Muslim minority of about 30% of the overall population dwells, in Michigan State as its theater. Moreover, the city is the home to the largest mosque in the United States of America, which is annexed to the Islamic Center
The mentioned program is a part of the intensive media efforts made to disclose the Islamic anonymity and put an end to the misconception of the Americans towards the Muslim citizens. The American writer, Katie Couric, commented in The Chicago Tribune on the program, saying: People are usually afraid of what they do not understand
To pull their ads from such channels that try to present the realistic image of the Muslim society in America shows how the advertising companies succumb to the false and strong campaign against Islam. Moreover, they yield to the financial considerations which dominate the general view towards the reality of the Muslims in America following the hostile and antagonistic campaign by the extremists. The bottom line is that this channel is only delivering its media message of introducing the American people to the reality and lives of Muslims, so as so set straight the misconception about them
Let’s talk about reality: why should we respect a religion that has several million followers who celebrated the deaths of 3,000 Americans on 911?
Let’s talk about the death threats against Dutch cartoonists.
Let’s talk about honor rapes.
Freepers are well aware of the OVERWHELMING number of atrocities committed by muslims, but the media have done their damndest to cover for the religion of pigs.
I would be all FOR a show that depicts TRUE islam and gave a very real history of its founder.
Watch for it to be presented on PBS next season.
Why not just be proud to be Americans,They can add the Islam as soon as they become more civilized and recognize other faiths.
They weighed their options and made a business decision.
Seems like reaching out to Moslems and supporting them through ads isn’t a large enough market to overcome their mainstream customer base.

Well, that makes sense...drive by the company who never put any money into supporting the show and go to the company who did...and then decided not to after a public backlash.
Oh my gosh! Is there any US companies that have not bowed to that Muslim propaganda BS?
You can count me in with the ranks of the Anti-Islamic extremists. I am extremely pro-American, extreme supporter of our Constitution, and extreme defender of our Republic form of government. That in itself makes me anti-Islamist.
I am also a big fan of Lowes for three reasons:
1. They don’t support the homosexual agenda like Homodepot
2. They give me a 10% discount for being a veteran
3. They pulled their advertising from this pro-Islamic propaganda program
I caught that, too. Anti-Islam extremists... Just because we don’t want to support companies who support the idea of trying to make Muslims seem “normal”.
Ditto.
A Frasier fur...
I tried to leave a comment at their website.
Went something like this:
Hey Jackwads, Lowes pulled ads because the show is bullshit and the ratings tanked. Americans are not interested in the lives and problems of muslims. If this was “reality”, where are the honor killings and bombs?
Why did that effing coach clear his school of Christians?
F**k you and the pig you rode in on. (no astericks in comment)
allah is Satan; Jesus is Lord. See you in Hell.
For some reason it the website keeps telling me to enter the security code, which I did, but it won’t accept the comment. Hmm.
As opposed to: Anti......Islam-extremists, (being against extremists of the Islam bent).
What, no Barf Alert?
I wouldn’t mind Muslims in America so much, if they would just keep their so called religion to themselves, dress like normal people, refrain from head chopping and daughter slaying, and not immediately start trying to turn America into the ruined savage medieval hellhole that they just escaped.
“Anti-Islam Extremist” of course, includes anyone who doesn’t much care for the notion of Moslems running the world as they see fit, and sharia replacing the law of the land everywhere on the planet.
I'm afraid of muslims because of what I do understand about them! And Katie Couric is a writer? She sounds so dumb as a speaker.
All too true....and with our tax dollars to boot
