Barney Frank: Obama would win 300-plus electoral votes against Gingrich
The Hill ^ | 12-17-11 | Bob Cusak

Rep. Barney Frank is predicting that President Obama would easily win a general election against Newt Gingrich, but stopped short of guaranteeing that Obama would eclipse his 2008 victory.

The retiring Massachusetts Democrat recently said that a Gingrich nomination “would be the best thing to happen to the Democrats since Barry Goldwater.”

Asked for a prediction on electoral votes, Frank this week told The Hill, “The thing is [Gingrich] could carry most of the South.” He said Obama's count would be “in the 300s” against the Georgia Republican.

To win the White House, 270 electoral votes are needed.

Obama won 365 electoral votes in 2008 against Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who captured 173. In 1964, President Lyndon Johnson won 486 electoral votes to Goldwater’s 52.

Earlier this fall amid Texas Gov. Rick Perry's surge in the GOP primary polls, Frank said Mitt Romney would present a more difficult challenge for Democrats in the general election.

The shrillness of the Democrats is getting louder...

I think they REALLY FEAR Gingrich speaking plain truth could bring everything tumbling down for them.

Thus is the canary in a cage proof that the biggest supporters of Obama fear Gingrich the most because if it were true Barney Frank would never publicly say it.

I don’t think he’d win by that much but he will beat Gingrich.

Democrats lie. A democrat will lie about what he had for breakfast. If they're saying Gingrich will ensure an Obama win, then you can be confident the opposite was true.

Notice no Democrat says anything bad about Romney during primary season.

That’s the same Barney Frank that told us there was nothing wrong at Fannie Mae, right?

Romney’s position is a lot worse. He would lose the south and his home state of Massachusetts.

Gingrich would win both of his home states by wide margins. Virginia and Georgia are a lock if Newt is the nominee.

Yeah, especially when your brain is between your legs.

Barney has never been right about anything....right down to his "lifestyle"..

...so what makes anyone think that he will be right about predictions on who is going to win an election which occurs in 11 months? ...

Awwwww, it’s just Barney Frank talkin’ out his love-hole, again. No, seriously, he can literally talk out of his love-hole. His love-hole has had more traffic than the Holland Tunnel. It’s so wide that his vocal chords dropped down into his bowels. There’s still guys missing in Barney’s love-hole from the Obama victory celebration back in 2008. See if you can find any clips of him singing by a piano. He won’t do it. He tried it once, and there was a candelabra behind him on the piano and he blew out all the candles when he did his rendition of “I LOVE BEING A GIRL!”.

I don’t know what Frank is on, but it must pretty good stuff to get him that far from reality.

Are there that many voters that are on Obama’s side? If so, America is lost.
