From the moment Mitt Romney agreed to sit down for an interview with Bill OReilly, no one could have expected that interview to be a cakewalk for Romney. Nonetheless, Romney stood his ground tonight as OReilly questioned whether he was a conservative of convenience, how he explained having implemented Romneycare, and what he thought of his latest close rival, Newt Gingrich.
OReilly started off the interview from the bottom up for Romney, forcing to identify and defend the thing you were most wrong about off the bat. Romney answered that it was the issue of life and abortion, as he had noted last week during the Fox News presidential debate, explaining that it took the experience of being in office to understand how abortion was an unacceptable attack on human life to him.
Romney gets another pass. His glass jaw won't fair well in the general.
Question: Didn't Romney try to force Cap and Trade on his state? Hypocritical swipe at Gingrich?
“explaining that it took the experience of being in office to understand how abortion was an unacceptable attack on human life to him.”
This is just bizarre. Didn’t get it from his religion or his God ( or maybe he did given his religion is statism) Didnt get it from his sense of morality . He got it from what? The toilet in the Governs office?
Grilling? I hear ya.
There are times when grilling is really more like feeding up a softball so a guy can attempt to defuse a sensitive issue.
Abortion seems to have been the softball of choice this evening.
I didn’t see the interview. I’m merely responding to the clip you posted. So if someone saw the interview and this part is mischaracterized by me, I’d appreciate someone clearing the air.
explaining that it took the experience of being in office to understand how abortion was an unacceptable attack on human life to him.*****
So Mitt had to experience being in public office in order to get his moral compass straightened out????
Makes perfect sense.
Sounds a lot like Pelosi saying, “You have to pass it to find out what’s in it.”
With him it’s, “You’ll only know the real me after I’m elected.”
LOL
Did he ask him about Bain? and why he wont release his tax returns? http://www.newsmax.com/InsideCover/Romney-Bain-millions-Time/2011/12/19/id/421392?s=al
OR about the thousands of people that lost jobs due to Bain and Romney? he campaigns on being a job creator.
I thought he would be sorry for Romneycare.

Well, I'm glad he has publicly admitted he was wrong on the issue of abortion. I have never voted for an avowedly pro-abort candidate, and I never will. So if, hypothetically, he does become the nominee (which I am not advocating), I would still vote for the Republican candidate against Obama.
I didn’t hate the interview, but yes, it feels like O’Reilly is in the bag for Romney. There were some seeming fastballs thrown ... but they were the most obvious, expectable fastballs.
BOR lost my respect when he kissed Obsma’s butt in one of the rare chances we had for real questions during the last election.
Has Mittens ever been asked, point blank, “Do you support the repeal of Obamacare?”
“I didnt hate the interview, but yes, it feels like OReilly is in the bag for Romney. There were some seeming fastballs thrown ... but they were the most obvious, expectable fastballs.”
The entire Fox network is in the tank for Romney, sad to say. So much for “fair and balanced.” As for O’Gasbag, he’s in it solely for the money and the personal aggrandizement. He would suffer with brown lips for an interview with someone important.
With respect to Romney, I guess he has ( at least in the past ) broken with his church over abortion. Mormons are absolutists when it comes to the sanctity of the unborn.
He has said that he does (e.g., in an October debate). Whether or not you can trust him to do so is a different question.
Grills? What OReilly did didnt sound like grilling to me. He allowed Romney to go on and on slamming Gingrich and the other candidates. It was more a stage for Romney to hammer Gingrich than anything else.

This is the only ad needed on Romney
but for insurance, you can include
http://mrctv.org/videos/mitt-romney-2002-my-views-are-progressive
After his interview on Fox News Sunday, the negative ads can add Romney talking about how taxes should only be cut for the middle, thus making the system even more progressive and unfair for the job creators in our society.
Romney cannot be trusted about anything.
Horse manure. "Grills". Right.
I would have Mittens in tears within 5 minutes.
