He should have bought a new york hunting license. It is legal to hunt with a hand gun of sufficient caliber. Not that scenario proly wouldn`t work any how. Probably should have just stayed home.

you can travel by car through NY State with your handguns, as long as you are just traveling through or going to an NRA sanctioned match in NY State and can prove it...you can fly in and out of airports NOT in NYC.
... but dont try getting on a plane in a NYC airport even with a properly stored handgun. Mayor ‘stank’ Bloomers will have you busted. he does not agree with federal laws that say it is fine to do so....
btw, under the current rules, you cannot hunt with a handgun in NY State UNLESS you live here and have a NY State handgun license. and the only caliber requirements is that the round needs be center fire

This is a non-issue, more of technicality arrest - no REAL crime. In the end, it will rally the Tea Party to push more against OBozo-like law enforcement and will ultimately flash back on NYC.
