General Electric Co.’s health care unit, the world’s biggest maker of medical imaging machines, is moving the headquarters of its 115-year-old X-ray business to Beijing.

The headquarters will move from Wisconsin amid a broader plan to invest about $2 billion across China, including opening six “customer innovation’’ and development centers.

The division should have “double-digit’’ growth rates as the country converts from film and analog to digital X-ray technology, LeGrand said

Investing $2 Billion across China??? President Obama appointed GE Chairman Jeff Immelt to head his commission on job creation (job czar). I guess the President forgot to tell him in which country he was supposed to be creating those jobs.

I conslted for a year in a GE Health startup in 2009(digital pathology). They spent money like it was going out of style, but no one could dispute the product is a game changer.

The company is a giant and does as it pleases. Hence, it is too big to fail.

I hate that they are turning their back on US workers. They will lose a lot of innovation our workers provide.
