So Ron Paul is picking up steam in Iowa. May even be a frontrunner.

And here he is (beginning at 4:06 in the video) saying of Bradley Manning, the U.S. soldier who leaked thousands of pages of classified U.S. government documents to Wikileaks, that Manning is a "true patriot" and a "political hero."

I kid you not.

My comment to this blog post:

I just want to ask - Where in the hell is the media coverage on this? If one of the other "legitimate" front-runners had said this it would be wall to wall coverage. Where are the other blogs ? National Review? HotAir? etc... Why is this Lunatic being given a pass?

What a disservice to the voters...

What I find most disturbing is that there are quite a few paulbots right here on FR. How can anyone defend Paul’s kookiness, his association with truthers, his defending this Manning traitor, his suggestion that the US government was thrilled by 9-11 because it meant we could attack Iraq, etc.

Paul does not belong in the Republican party. He is not a conservative, and I think it is high time conservatives stop giving passes to Paul and his cult followers. Paul gets away with this stuff because few are willing to call him out - mostly because they know he can’t actually win the nomination and don’t want to offend his minions.

Uh...did you check out the link this person claiming to be the author referenced? It's a spoof link called "bad lip reading" where someone dubs their own voice over the video, it's not legit.
