Even if Allahpundit's spin on this were correct and Ron Paul were the beneficiary, this would still be a good strategy. Stalling Romney's momentum out of the gate would help ensure a longer, drawn out primary process which would almost certainly be to Newt's benefit. Romney's phony image would shatter under protracted scrutiny.
