CNSNews.com) – Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, says he has no plans to reverse the Obama administration’s repeal of the ban on homosexuals serving in the U.S. military

In an editorial meeting in early November with the Des Moines Register, which endorsed him for the Iowa caucuses pending on Jan. 3, Romney was asked, “How do you feel about gays serving openly in the military?”

Romney said, “That’s already occurred. I’m not planning on reversing that at this stage.”

The reporter followed up, “But you’re comfortable with it?”

EEO was a great democrat scam. Every woman who left home and went to work became the source of bigger government.

The increase in the tax base expanded government at the expense of gullible women who thought they were making a difference

Does anyone really believe that any Rep will reverse this policy? I strongly disagree with the policy, but this issue is a distraction in the runup to the general election. The courts have become involved and the service chiefs including the Chariman of the Joint Chief of Staff have supported it. And I bet that public polls will show the majority of Americans support the policy, especially younger voters. It would be counterproductive to make this a big issue during the election campaign. Theer are bigger fish to fry.

Until we can show that the policy is hurting operational readiness, recruitment, and retention, it is far better to fight this battle as a later date.

Even with the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” this is still a violation of UCMJ. Public Display of Affection (PDA) is punishable...

Totally agree. Right now the alternative is Gingrich. I like Bachmann, but she doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. Too bad. I would love being able to watch an intelligent, attractive woman give Presidential speeches instead of another idiot political automaton.

And they wonder why we call them RINOs…

I've seen RINOs, but never one as brazen as this. Romney's openly denounced positions that've been basic to the GOP platform over the last 20+ years. And yet aside from FR, nobody seems the last bit alarmed by this.

I’m guessing he hopes to gain some votes with this. He’s despicable.

The Willard has already detonated himself twice - first with his line about Obamacare mandates being ‘conservative’ and now coming out in favor of keeping the meat whistlers in the military. What will he suggest next - marrying your pet goat is OK - gotta keep the muzzies on board. I say let him keep on detonating - after all he’s making his RINO handlers’ heads explode. Has anyone called Miss Coulter about her sweetie’s meltdown? Wow! And oh yeah - The Willard IS a fricking coward - you can see it in his eyes. He is as jumpy as a cat in a run full of bored Siberian Huskies. Why is he so spooked, anyhow?

Homos haave always been in the military. The difference now is they are allowed to flaunt the perversion and force straights to deal with it.

DADT should have never been repealed.

You can say that. But when my units came back from overseas deployments, I saw a lot of Public Displays of Affection going on and I was guilty of it also. I never saw anyone get hauled up on office hours for it.

I never got into the idea of two women making out even if they are both “hot”. It just does nothing for me. This whole thing is another in-your-face by the Left. I’m sad that so many people (like the ship captain) go along with it.

The village people might say that having perverts in the Navy (or other services) is nothing new. The big change is pretending it's normal and acceptable.
