There's a flurry of reports in the blogosphere today on whether first dog Bo was flown back from Hawaii to the nation's capital for a photo op after President Barack Obama and Bo appeared Wednesday at a store in Alexandria, Va.
Scott Miscovich, who lives down the street from the Obama vacation rental home on Kailuana Place told the Star-Advertiser Sunday, "My wife saw Michelle and the kids passing by and we've seen Bo (the Obamas' dog) walking."
Miscovich could not be reached for comment this morning on whether he could have been mistaken that Bo was spotted in the neighborhood, but a White House spokesman told the Star-Advertiser that Bo did not travel to Hawaii with the first lady and daughters Malia and Sasha.

Compare this to Spot, W’s pooch. And Barney. Those dogs were always around the President. They loved Spot and I imagine they still love Barney. Obama’s one cold fish, boy.

If I recall, Hawaii’s rules are pretty stringent and not open to interpretation...
Are there any rules that DO apply to the First Kenyans?

Will somebody please tell me why this guy appears to have a seam up the side of his skull like it was split open at some point and put back together? Look at the side of his head. Weird!

Though it’s highly unlikely that Bo spends anytime with the obama family, my concern isn’t that, because I can’t change that, but concern is that the dog is being mistreated or neglected wherever he is.
I hope he didn’t buy Bo treats from China.

It all depends on what the definition of dog is,is....
I was telling my husband about this, and he posited that this is a photoshop job and that maybe the president was somewhere else when someone on staff used this photoshop to say that the president was at the doggy store when he was really out doing who knows what. Note: hubby has not seen this photo. he was just guessing.
Maybe they did ship Bo to Hawaii and did not report his presence to authorities. THEN, when reports got out that Bo was there, someone complained about the dog not being properly quarantined, so the WH shipped Bo back to the WH. And the president felt so sorry for the left out dog, that he took Bo to the doggy store for some treats. (not Christmas treats. The Obamas don’t celebrate Christmas.) The Obamas AND their staff are clueless about how real people live. Ask some military members about their pets and what they go through when they are forced (hah) to move to Hawaii.
He has been programed.

I wonder if Bo has to be subjected to quarantine like every other dog that is taken to Hawaii?
