If I had the chance to meet Mitch McConnell face to face I'd lecture him right back and I'd only need to use two of my fingers.
The real downside to this fiasco is that Eric Holder will be emboldened to further dodge and weave over F&F. A leadership that folds because the Black Panther President called them meanies, wont have the courage to ask for a Contempt of Congress citation, and certainly not Articles of Impeachment against our murderous Attorney General.
How does that single vote thing work??
At first blush, I was PO’d about this deal as anybody.
After considering that the Keystone provision is still in the bill, the so-called Tax Cut will actually be more trouble than it’s worth (if, in fact, anybody even notices) and the lib establishment used every page out of the playbook to get the thing pushed onto The 0’s desk, I’ve got only one reaction to this big lib (and their media pimps) victory:
Can anybody here spell “Pyrric”?
I wondered the same thing.
One for each hand? :D
Ryan could have stopped this by speaking up when it came to the floor for a vote. He didn't. He's no better than Boehner or the rest of them. No one, not even the reps who allied themselves with the tea party, stood up against this stupidity. Beltway disease strikes again.
Did we at least get the pipeline?
Old Mitch should get the message the problem IS the way Washington works. Old Mitch has to go. And many more! We need a entirely new conservative group and keep them all accountable every election. Our nation is corrupt from top to bottom and has become a fascist nation.
Lets see now. It’s obvious the game plan for the Dems is to keep the lower payroll deduction in the minds of the superficial voter by passing a BS bill every two months. So they can say to the voters during the 2012 election campaign that “We” gave you “a tax cut” many times over the last year. Another how can we fool them today with the help of the Main Stream Media. Easy as 1,2,3.
Hey Repubs does the cat have your tongues? You can’t explain this nonsense being played by the Dems to the average voter?
Both Michelle Bachmann and Ron Paul did not vote on the bill.
True, true. Shows me all I need to know about either of them.
“Would you want to be the GOP President having to explain why youre declaring a State of Emergency and having to curtail civil liberties even further than they are now?”
Would you rather have 0bama declare martial law, suspend the elections and appoint himself El-Presidente-For-Life? I don’t believe that we would have re-education camps and a brownshirt civilian defense force under a Pubbie POTUS.
Wow. The Pres-ent of the US has crammed through the legislator a bill not to raise taxes for two months.
He sure is a champion of the middle class.
What a guy. What a great guy.
Yep.
And when the SHTF, the Dems will be able to point to these stupid, weak, spineless liberals (R) and say, “They supported it. It’s EVERYONE’s fault.”
No.
It is the fault of Big Government.
Why even have two parties?
Why even have two parties?
Everything congress does is monkey-shines; ‘twould be better if they did nothing.
The “tax cut” is no cut at all, was meant to be temporary and is now a propaganda tool. Forget about it entirely and stop stealing from Social Security. We know what Ubama is doing in the meantime; slowly cutting back Medicare to fund his socialized medicine.
Social Security needs a complete overhaul, something today’s politicians do not have the courage to do, just like none have the courage to stand for law enforcement vs. illegal aliens.
Genuine citizens, old people, honest working people will pay for the politicians’ monkey shines.
Exactly, you are right. This administration is waging serious war on old people; we are expendable for the sake of their younger and illegal voting base.
Not a RINO ?
Maybe a RINOINO ?
