I wonder why no mention of our own sniper counter-fire, the QRF rushing out, etc. No mention of a deadly enemy sniper at all.

What’s NOT in the short article is more telling than what is IN the story.

I think it could be a negligent discharge, or a ballistic love triangle settlement.

Had 2 combat engineers as were supporting In Tau Ninh Province KIA on Dec 23, 1970. Parents notified on Christmas eve. Very sad.
