Well, I think it fits Paul to a tee. Your mileage may vary.

I believe he is vile enough to run third party, but so far, the only people I know who are in favor of him are democrats. And very young, and they voted bimbo last time. I would be curious how many former bimbo voters are jumping up and down for Paul.

Have fun venting, but this is our country we’re talking about.

The GOP is simply not running a serious race this year (they rarely do).

Amen. See tagline.

Newt's tried to focus on Obama but it's not working out well now, he seemed to be "flavor of the week" in the early states. At this point I hope Ron Paul takes Iowa. Romney will surely take NH.

I don't know if attack ads or Newt 'overreaching' rhetoric on judges has caused him the drop in support. I notice Meet the Press took time out to mock and attack him on judges, one saying he'd created a "constitutional crisis" immediately upon entering office.

"Constitutional Crisis" ... meant to terrorize would be voters into thinking Newt is radical and extreme. After all he created one by impeaching Bill Clinton, why not another? /s

Perry moving in the right direction, Paul a non-factor no matter how many fanatics vote for him, Gingrich moving on down, Romney -steady but not the man...

Maybe Fox News will stop saying ‘everybody else is in single digits.’

Newt didn’t help himself by comparing his being struck off the ballot in Virginia to Pearl Harbor.

Mouth to Newt: ‘think before opening.’

There are more than a few on FR that support the turd. He would pull enough Republican/Ind voters to swing the election. The RATS will still vote RAT in the end.

If you mean Romney, I don’t think there are that many here. I would only support him if he’s the nominee, and that would be a reluctant but necessary vote.

No, I was talking about Paul going third party.

I support Perry, would vote Newt in the General election, but never Romney or Paul.

Romney anywhere on a POTUS ticket and I leave that slot blank.

And shilling for Romney -- the GOP establishment choice -- all those Fox News contributors and anchors are on board with Romney.

No kidding and they talk about Perry’s faux pas. Newt is far worse.

Newt 'overreaching' rhetoric on judges has caused him the drop in support.

I can guarantee you that his stand on judges only helps him in Iowa. We recently threw three judges out on their asses for legislating from the bench.

When Newt started talking about getting judges under control during the Sioux City debate the applause was deafening.

Also I would add; I think Paul is going to do better than people think; sigh.... He is taking the people that Palin could have energized into a strong Reagan type coalition. Many of these Paul supporters see Paul as the nuclear bomb to throw in the middle of things to try to radically remake the system. They are willing to overlook his fatal foreign policy flaws.

Horse feathers!

I believe a lot of Ron Paul’s support is cynical (follow the money). Young people "looking forward" to no jobs in the Obama depression, or working on degrees in areas where government money could fund a study, a program (their professors have sucked on this tit for decades) -- instead of being “wasted” to support the "evil" military and “misguided” war on drugs -- which also ties into what they've been taught in many institutions of higher education -- so many useless degrees and “green” thinkers believing that Ron Paul is the Rx for what ails the country. So they're leaving support for Barack “hope and change” Obama at the school house/no job market door and flocking to Ron Paul which has the sweetener of hurting those “evil-rich” conservatives who are destroying the planet and are ready to “bomb” the world.

The problem for them is -- they never will get the money; it always finds another home. With the debt and deficit ballooned out of sight, that money isn't heading in their direction. The naturally productive ones will eventually “grow up” and realize the truth about living in a safe, free market society but many will hang fast to the hope (libertarians for sure) that once the "war on drugs" and the "evil military complex” have their wings clipped, some of those trillions of “wasted” dollars will certainly flow to them. It won't and their lot will be worse. We have for too long been building “me-me-itis” generations, whose values and goals are nurtured and fanned by teachings of socialist professors spawned in the Sixties who have multiplied themselves with our youth.

So Ron Paul is their cup of tea. They’re only one step away from OWS (most likely have a foot in both camps already). If Ron Paul definitively said, "I will not run third Party," much of his support would evaporate today. Which is precisely why he has not ruled it out.

Paul will likely win Iowa and it won’t make an ounce of difference in the final vote.
Iowa does not reflect any aspect of the national consensus because of the enormous sums spent by so many campaigns on so few people.

Call me crazy, but in every political season I feel as though we are the subject of a psy-ops effort to divide us by making us argue about meaningless things like how many marriages the candidates have, while our standing in the world, the strength of our defense, the erosion of our civil liberties, and the centralization of world financial and governing bodies proceeds apace and without evaluation, monitoring, and objection by the people that will be forced to live under the new regime. The elected officials are all bought and paid for, or threatened into submission in the rare case that they may object.

When all the choices in politics differ only in the meaningless issues, then there is no more choice, there is no more democracy, and no more freedom.

The usurpation is complete as we speak, but we are being led to believe we still matter.

I am sad for my children.

My point wasn't that it will effect the GOP nomination.

What it will do is boost that turd's ego enough that he will run third party. THAT will give Obumble the win.

That’s true. All this proves is, Iowa is populated by a bunch of Lemmings who vote for who ever presents the best rhetoric and propaganda.

If Paul wins, Iowa will become the proverbial “Nut Case” laughing stock of the rest of America. It shows that they watch their local TV sets around the clock and vote the way they are told without actually looking into the real facts.
