What? She met him twice at shows and then had dinner with him and now she won't go to his funeral? But they were so "close"!

Has the kidnapping of Japanese nationals by NK ever been resolved?

Not to anybody’s satisfaction.

IIRC she was invited to stay every time she visited and refused. Lot of other people never got that option. Reminds me of Gaddafi’s Condolezza Rice obsession.

Doesn't trust the offspring.

Would have thought that she wouldn't have trusted any of them but some people...

Don't know about Albright but Jimmah will be lusting in his heart for the opportunity...

She MUST be 在日朝鮮人 and have the appropriate Chongryong connections accordingly in Japan to have the seal of approval (back and forth to Pyongyang with no problems). Rumor is that she slept with the Chia Pet. Ewwwww....

Japanese public security must have told her in no uncertain terms “No, Hikita san, you are NOT going to Pyongyang. You are NOT going to humor that dynastic family and embarrass Japan at the same time. Not until they come completely clean on the various fellow countrymen of yours they still hold as kidnapped victims for low over 30 years now in some cases.” I can just envision her being called into the Prime Minister’s office and given the riot act over that and told her passport would be seized upon reentry, and told to shut up about it.

Believe me, considering the rings of security around Kim Jong il (R.I.H.) and the elusiveness of that regime, to have two dinner parties with him IS CLOSE.

I don’t think Madeleine will be able turn down the chance to imbibe some more of that costly cognac she enjoys so much—and maybe it will flow.
