why is Iowa important again?

Any state this joker came from is not to be trusted:

Yes, actions do speak louder than words....and Gov. Rick Perry has ‘walked the walk’ not just ‘talked the talk’ in Texas!

I support Perry because of his consistent conservative values and his executive experience and record in Texas!

And I agree with Ben Franklin who said “Well done is better than well said.”

Correct.
We are just the first shot in things, the media makes it a bigger deal than it really should.
We do not select a nominee at all. Weaknesses and strengths are exposed however.
McCain didn't campaign here very much in 2008; and got a lot of votes anyway. That showed he had a lot more support than people though he might in my opinion; (like him as a candidate or not).
We have hundreds of Occupy types coming from out of state here because they know they can get publicity. None of us want them here; they are attention whores.

Iowa simply gives candidates a format to get out in front of people. It is a state that can't just be won by a media blitz and lots of money; although that of course will make a difference.

The Boston Herald is a conservative paper. The Boston Globe is a commie rag.

Perry is the complete conservative package for what ails the country — cut regulations, cut litigation, cut taxes, shrink government, support life and 2nd and 10th Amendments, seal the border and stand with our allies.

>>>The Boston Herald is a conservative paper.

In Massachusetts they’re probably conservative... but anywhere else?? Just as liberal as the rest of the freaking media.

The MSM has a rule that every article about a conservative or conservatives MUST have at least one negative word in the headline. In this case the negative word is fail. Steve King did not endorse anyone yesterday. But the headline must be twisted into a negative.

He probably didn’t get his mother’s or sister’s endorsement. The local drain commisioner will get more votes than this guy.

The Globe (owned by the NY Times) is a commie rag, but the Boston Herald is hardly conservative. It is SLIGHTLY less liberal than the Globe.

The Herald's editorial page is generally center-right. Unlike the Globe, they actually allow conservative voices on the op-ed page and do not bury stories unfavorable to Obama and to Democrats generally. Also, the Herald is home to the great Howie Carr. But yes, some of their regular columnists would fit right in at the Gay Globe.

I liked your great summary of why conservatives should give Rick Perry a second look!

I would add....Perry supports our Military and will repeal ObamaCare!

I just returned from a Perry event in Creston, IA. The place was packed and Perry did GREAT!! The highlight was when a woman who identified herself as a pastor, thought she had him cornered on the waterboarding issue.

He told her if it would save an American life, he was all for it and the place erupted in applause.

I think that was not the answer the good pastor was seeking.

Perry was very impressive today. He’s in his groove and people were impressed.

I heard from someone in Iowa that Perry is getting such big crowds that the Des Moines Register’s lead caucus columnist has switched from following the Bachmann campaign to Rick Perry’s today!

Standing Room Only and he is working the crowd hard.

Gary Burgoff lives less then 20 miles from me, in Paradise California, and he is a staunch conservative that I would be proud to stand by in any fight.

So please do NOT diss my man Radar.

They bare a lot alike in their personality. Really...LOL.

He is involved with the Theater on the Ridge enterprise. he helps locals who want to break into acting. He attends most of the conservative gatherings and even supports local conservatives.

He was basically kept from succeeding in Hollywood after Mash, and ended up here.

Nice guy. I met him a few times and I really like him

That is remarkable, and a pleasure to hear about, thanks for sharing that. Next time you see him, wish him a Happy 2012 from yours truly, and to you and yours as well!
