“O’Meara said staffers did not receive a raise this year.”

I didn’t get a raise this year either. Nor did I get one last year, and the year before that I took a 5% cut. Forgive me if I am less than sympathetic to their plight...

How’s being a lying Marxist immoral propaganda yellow journalist sheet working out for ya NYT?

These jerks can't even let the “Food” section of the NYTimes alone. Now they're putting all measurements into the metric system rather than the imperial. So now instead of half a cup of flour, you have to get...what? 2,000 grams of flour or something? All to toady up to European sophistication!

Sulzberger's "negotiators have demanded...an end to our independent health insurance."

That's the funniest thing I've read in years. The communists at the Times are wailing that the eeeevil capitalists won't subsidize their health care.

Welcome to Russia, comrades.

I'd love to see Krugman, Friedman and Dowd try to find anyone interested in their opinion without the NYTimes logo on their name tag.

[Now that I have converted to E-books the NYT lists are meaningless, what I search for is independent authors with introductory or even free books, just to get themselves heard.]

I now have three titles in publication on Amazon that NEVER would have seen the light of day given the liberal bent of publishers in general. There are 11 bios of Nancy Pelosi, I wrote the only bio of Harry Reid (think about that for a moment, why no one would consider the third most powerful man in the US bio worthy).
Die NYT, die a horrible death, and your little book reviews too!

Pinch and the family is in preparations to sell the paper to Carlos Slim.

In order to make the numbers work for Senor Slim, Pinch is slashing costs and dumping assets.

The best part is that 50% of the paid newsroom staff will be eliminated in order to right-size the NYT to the new operating environment.

2012 at the NYT will be fun to watch as Pinch moves forward on his sale to Senor Slim.

Carlos Slim could care less about a bunch of whiny liberals. He wants to make money. And Pinch and the family want to cash out to Senor Slim.

Oh, boohoo, Pinch is being squeezed from all sides. While the mutineers are restless, agitated and out for blood, Pinch concerns himself with finding the missing strawberries.

They should get all their rich lefty friends together and buy it. Looks like $1 billion should give them ownership. Then they can run it non-profit for the good of the employees. If their ideas for running a company are so great, show us how to make them work.

I wish unions and rich democrats would take this approach rather than complaining about how other people run companies. I’d guess unions could have bought up GM (with government dollars of course) and now be paying employees what ever they want.

Can’t wait to see how Senor Slim remakes the Times. Just what NYC has always needed—a Mexican tabloid. If you want to see the Old Gray Lady in a couple of years, check out El Nuevo Alarma, which features graphic photos of Mexican drug violence (warning: some of the shots are extremely gory).

http://nuevoalarma.com.mx/alarmaprincipal.html

Alarma only has a circulation of about 80,000, but one of every four copies is sold in the U.S. I’m sure that’s come to Senor Slim’s attention. Mo Dowd’s column next to a full-color shot of a headless corpse? Sounds like a winner to me. But then again, how can you tell the difference?

I was watching the Food Network the other day and there was some gal with a British accent on. She said (something like) Add one cup of flour and 10 grams of oil. Mixing the two systems together in the same breath.
