MOSCOW (AP) — Russia's Foreign Ministry has attacked America's human rights record in its first report on injustice elsewhere in the world, offering examples such as the Guantanamo Bay prison and wrongful death row convictions to paint the U.S. as hypocritical for lecturing other nations on the subject of rights.

ROTFL! Those crazy Russkis are a real hoot! I wonder if they have any proof about that death row thing or if they are just regurgitating some bull**** that they read in some DNC newsletter.

In about 5 to 10 years, maybe they really will be able to legitimately call us out for completely destroying our people’s freedoms. By then, we might be less free than they are. And by might, I mean likely will.

Same stuff Ron Paul says on a regular basis. Maybe that’s why Russia Today loves having him on so much.

Although,, in the last year, we have had TSA random checkpoints at rail stations conducting what THEY call “suspicionless searches”. Including searches of people LEAVING bus or rail stations.

The FBI has began recording all the talk radio programs they possibly can.

Obama just signed the defense bill authorizing arrest and detention of US citizens (IN America) with no hearing, no right to appeal, no lawyer. All it takes is that some secret council decided you are a “terrorist”. (remember,, DHS has openly said that a Ron Paul sticker, an NRA sticker, a “don’t tread on me” flag, being a white veteran, etc,, are all indicators of “extremism”)

Obama is collecting email addresses of republicans.

Obama provided thousands of assault rifles to Mexican cartels in an effirt to “prove” that the 2nd amendment causes violence in Mexico.

In this same bill, Obama added a signing statement saying there were 28 riders on the bill he did not intend to Obey.

We are subject to more surveillance than ever in our history.

The government is now pushing for a law allowing them to shut down any internet site it wishes.

Cupcakes are confiscated at airports, old white grandmothers are groped at airports.

DHS in Tennessee wants to conduct home visits to see how prepared you are for disaster.

The US government is demanding that foreign banks must turn over all records of US citizen accounts or face bankrupting litigation and pressure.

Sales of physical gold must be reported to the government for the first time.

DHS claims jurisdiction over all food production, animal husbandry, and gardening.

People such as Joe Arpiao are targeted for criminal prosecution based on his political stands.

DHS wants military surplus stores to report buyers of MRE’S, people who only pay cash, etc.
____________

All of this has happened in the last year. It is done in the name of security from the dangers of cartels and islamic terrorism.
Yet, it is almost forbidden to criticize muslims and cartels are laughing at the prosecution of Border Patrol agents.
The Russians are correct. We are headed straight into an authoritarian government.

Oh,,,i forgot, German brokerage firms just notified American account holders that their accounts would be closed because of prohibitive US Govt reporting requirements.
And the State department just concluded closed door 3 day talks designed to criminalize free speech that is insulting to islam.

For Gods sake, this thanksgiving, DHS released a video about the dangers of frying a TURKEY!

Yes,,, it is way past time to recognize that our freedom is evaporating right before our eyes. As for the Kulaks, etc. Putin even said that America is headed down a tragic totalitarian path that is well-known to Russians. Instead of making ourselves feel better by discussing Stalin,, we need to focus on what is happening here. We need to focus on why our republican party is a full partner in this transformation.

Not quite sure why you think it’s a joke. Have you looked around? You are crazy if you think America is still a free country.

Try to go through a TSA security check and then tell me America is the land of the free.

Gulag, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, winner of the 1970 Nobel Prize in Literature, introduced the term to the Western world with the 1973 publication of his The Gulag Archipelago.

The book likened the scattered camps to "a chain of islands" and depicted the Gulag as a system where people were worked to death.

wikipedia.org

The people who had concentration camps are criticizing the US over Guantanamo? Putin is believed to have assassinated and framed and arrested political opponents of his government.

And Russia mentions wrongful death row convictions in the US.

Putin: Obama “Idiot” For Adopting Socialism

MOSCOW (SR) – Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has warned the Obama administration against adopting further socialism, saying Russian history clearly proves it is a recipe for failure.

“Any fourth grade history student knows socialism has failed in every country, at every time in history,” said Putin. “President Obama and his fellow Democrats are either idiots or deliberately trying to destroy their own economy.”

Economists say Putin’s comments serve to illustrate how worldwide markets have made even economic adversaries dependent on each other’s financial stability.

An Obama spokesman dismissed Putin’s claim, saying, “We’re going to do socialism better.”

http://papundits.wordpress.com/2009/02/23/putin-obama-idiot-for-adopting-socialism/

Even Putin sees Obama’s Socialism. Wealth is not the Problem. Poverty is the problem. Wealth is the solution.

It’s hard to take a break when so much is happening—especially when so much of it is destroying our freedom and our ability to improve our lives through wealth creation.

Here is an article I just learned about. It was posted February 11th and is reporting on a speech by Putin given January 28th.

Putin Warns US About Socialism

“In the 20th century, the Soviet Union made the state’s role absolute,” Putin said during a speech at the opening ceremony of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. “In the long run, this made the Soviet economy totally uncompetitive. This lesson cost us dearly. I am sure nobody wants to see it repeated.”*

Why has this not made more headlines?

Why does a Communist from Russia need to warn the President of the United States about the dangers of central planning?

What is going on here?

Where is the outrage?
