The second perp is probably far from that well armed area. If he came back, he'd likely get shot too.
I’m not that old... (Old enough to know better but don’t)..
We had a rifle range in our school. It was phased out of the curriculum around 1970 but was still used by the extra curricular clubs.
When we were young in the late 60’s, we would play with the cans(and drums) of gunpowder, make fireworks, cut shotgun shells apart, and lots of really stupid stuff. A friend of mine set off a couple of sticks of dynamite in the river just to watch the explosion. Explosives were easily obtainable as we lived in a mining area. Glad I grew out of all that by the time I got out of JR. High School!
Never did tell my father most of what we did, but remember how he told me that when he was a kid, he put a deer rifle shell in the forging hole in the blacksmith anvil and hit it with a hammer and shot a hole in the floor of the shop.
I’m living proof that the Lord looks out for the dumb!
For some reason, one of my clear child hood memories from before I started school (early 1960’s) was the trash can of used military rifles in the 5 and dime store. Most were $4, the better condition ones were $5. I was upset that my mother would not buy me a 303 British with a pop up peep site! It took me a few years to figure out who my “Uncle Sam” was that she said would buy me the gun.
