Obamas pay tribute to family history in Hawaii By Alicia M. Cohn - 01/01/12 05:14 PM ET

President Obama and the First Family spent the first day of the new year paying tribute to the president's past in Hawaii.

Far from the hustle of Republican candidates vying for votes on one of the last days before the first GOP primary vote in Iowa taking place this Tuesday, the Obamas enjoyed the second week of their Hawaiian vacation.

Following a visit to the gym, Obama joined his family on a drive across the island of Oahu on a partly-cloudy but warm Sunday morning to visit the grave of the president's grandfather, Stanley Dunham, at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.

Obama visited the grave site during the family's Hawaiian Christmas vacation last year as well.

The Obamas spent about 11 minutes at the grave, then proceeded to Honolulu's East-West Center. The East-West Arts Program is hosting an exhibition until Jan. 8 honoring the anthropological work of Obama's late mother, S. Ann Dunham.

The exhibit is titled, "Through Her Eyes: Ann Dunham's Field Work in Indonesia." They were joined there by the president's half-sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, and her family.

The family avoided the press for the most part during both visits, although the White House confirmed that the Obamas visited both locations as a family.

Obama plans to return to Washington, D.C. early this week. According to CNN, he will address supporters in Iowa through an online forum on Tuesday even as the caucus results are being counted by Iowa's Republican Party.

Nobody mentions it much anymore, but I still would like to know who snuffed typical white granny on election night.

The press was remarkably indifferent to that story.

Someone could win a Pulitzer digging it up.

So much “fun stuff” in this article especially about Ann Dunham’s “field work”. To me that means she picked beans or something. And visiting gramps and how come granny’s not next to him? Wonder if he visited the hospital where he was supposed to have been born? LOL!!

Just about enough time for Zer0 to unroll his prayer rug, get on his hands and knees, and give thanks that his real birth certificate is six feet under!

Stanley Dunham's ashes rest at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl. He died of prostate cancer in 1992 at age 73

“Ann Dunham’s” work in Indonesia?
Why was her name scrubbed of her real name “Soetero”?
Potential embarrassment to “Steve”?

No flowers tossed in the sea for Granny Toot?

Among many rumors was the fact that Granny hated Stanley for all his ho’ing around through the years.

Just a curious side note...Madelyn never wanted to be called Grandma so they called her ‘Toots’ (anglosized Hawai’ian for Grandma)....maybe because she actually wasn’t one

Ashes dumped into the ocean can't tell tales. No body, no ashes, no evidence.

I always thought it odd that 'Toot' got a hip replacement, when she was allegedly dying of cancer.

Terminal cancer patients aren't good hip replacement candidates.

I recall hearing in the news stream (briefly) that she had died of sudden complications from the hip surgery, then the story shifted to cancer.

Maybe that was supposed to make her death seem 'expected', and raise the longsuffering grief factor to gain sympathy in time for the election.

Maybe it was to deflect any call for an autopsy...

So many lies, so little time....

Question if anybody can answer: If his grandfather was buried in a National Military Cemetery there, wouldn’t his grandmother have been allowed to be buried there too? I know they dumped her ashes in the ocean, and wonder if she chose that option as her daughter’s ashes had been dumped there too.

Michellie the Moocher visits the National Memorial Cemetary containing the remains of Frank Dunham and surrounding American war heroes........and once again is clad in her own version of class and respect for the dead.

The First Bag Lady is shown with her trademark top-chest nudity, upper-back nudity, neck nudity, shoulder nudity, full-arms nudity, full-underarms nudity and full-brain nudity.

It's all okay, though, because Moochelle has well-toned flesh......in case you haven't heard.

Have you noticed the lack of photos this year? No photos eating shave iced, playing at the beach, etc. Only election photo op pics... Pearl Harbor, graves, Memorial to his slutty commie mommie. They definitely are trying to keep this 4+ million vacation out of the eyes of the public. They make me sick..... Such disgusting, sneaky, pigs.
