Video of Person of Interest in L.A. Arson Spree Released

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KTLA) -- Police have released surveillance video of a person of interest believed to be connected to the recent rash of car fires in and around the Hollywood area.

LAPD officials said Sunday that they would like to question a suspect described as an older white male with a receding hairline and shoulder-length ponytail.

He was caught on tape, wearing a full black outfit, leaving the scene of a car fire Saturday night inside the parking structure at the Hollywood and Highland complex.

Have you heard any one express thoughts about why they aren’t hitting black neighborhoods? Coincidence? I haven’t heard anyone even speculate. Fairfax, Wetside, Hollywood, Valley?

Since the obvious reason is the perp doesn't want to get shot, I doubt they will say a word.

Sea legs are possible, but he did not have that dizzy in the head manner when he jumped up the stairs. My 2 cents is that he is loaded under that coat. Arson tools, guns or possibly a bomb or two. That makes him very heavy. So stuff is hanging on his sides. Good news if they did catch him, but he does not look like the type who will be caught alive. Or if they do manage to catch him there is no way they can let the world know his true identity. Too embarrassing for our Glorious Leader.

I was wondering if there is any type of common thread regarding the type of automobiles being targeted, or the neighborhoods in which these fires have been set. For example, if the cars could be considered luxury cars - Mercedes, Lexus, BMW, etc., and/or the fires have occurred in more affluent neighborhoods, then I'd say there is a strong chance that there is an OWS link here.At the very least, it could be an Obama supporter who has bought into his class warfare rhetoric.

At any rate, when they release a better resolution image of the Arsonists, he will no doubt end up being a Tea Party regular from a corn farm deep in Kansas or Iowa. Probably is also a birther and has voted Republican all his life. /sarc
