>Splitting the Republican vote is the sure fire way for the Democrats to achieve victory in 2012. <

I have said this since day one.

Sadly, I have also said that many democrats have flipped to Paul and have acted as if they support him to the point of actually registering as republicans to vote for him in the primary. They post in blogs that they will vote for him as a write in if need be.
In actuality, they fully plan on voting for obama in the general election.

I have confirmed that a few Obama supporters that I know personally are now doing this, so it must be pretty widespread.

What I hear from Ron Paul Supporters is that he is the only man who can actually beat obama. But in reality, in every mainstream poll, he appears to be the only one who can’t.

Unless of course you look at Alex Jonse’s polls then he is so far off the charts then well, you get the picture.

Meanwhile, I noticed a few things that really struck me as odd. Like the fact that Herman Cain, the only black man in the race for the republican nod, was threatened so bad as was his family that he needed secret service protection. He was given scandal after scandal one after another and all four had connections to Obama or Rham direct that the media never touched.
They had an instant impact on him and he was out of the race in a matter of 30 days. Imagine that .. a man who could have taken 1/3 of Obama’s black vote out within 30 days.

All of the republicans have been harassed by members of Obama’s staff indirectly .. with the exception of ONE PERSON. It would seem that there is only really one person that Obama doesn’t fear facing .... the one who had a four person newspaper some years back, that was full of racial bigotry, who is all over the Internet as a 9/11 truther and conspiracy theorist, a man who has been in congress forever with over 600 pieces of legislation that he has proposed and yet that only one has ever passed. The naming of a building ....

yep .. the crazy old uncle of the congress that no one wants to be associated with ...

the one man who has made more anti-jewish statements than Harod himself ..

and Obama nor his team have gone after him yet ... now this information regarding Soros ...

Go figure ...

Do you understand that our military is currently about 4.2% of GDP? Our military is one of the few constitutionally mandated functions of the federal government.

The world is much, much smaller than it was in the seventeen hundreds when the oceans were vast. These days a small determined group of people can potentially kill millions in a day. Something that was not possible only a hundred years ago.

Those are the facts and the realities of the world today.

4.2% isn’t excessive.

The real spending problems are on the mountains of social programs neither mandated or even authorized by the constitution.

Paul should not even be allowed to run on the GOP platform, he is not a conservative nor a republican, he’s a liberal on social and foreign policies and a fiscal conservative.

He and hi9s supporters are nuts and I’m sick and tired of hearing he is the constitution which sounds great but when you question the nuts who follow him they really want drugs legal, pay hardly any taxes and have no problem with marrying siblings.

On principle Paul is in line with the founding fathers and the original of the Constitution. The US today has an offensive military force and employs it around the world at the whim of the president. The founders envisioned defensive forces, stationed inside the boundaries of the country supplemented by local militias.

BTW, how did the founding fathers envision a local militia defending against Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles?

“God, Ron Paul isn’t the second coming.”

In a way he is in that he’s like a persistant rash, or maybe even gastroesophageal reflux disease.

I find it quite interesting that so many on FR are ready to raise the white flag and open the U.S to fatal attacks from within and from the outside.

Interesting that no one is interested in ending the Freedom killing Agencies and Depts that have SHOWN their willingness to destroy the American Constitution.

AND BARNEY FRANK....does anyone remember Dodd-Frank?

I watched a short clip of a Russian reporter doing a Jay Leno type NYC interview of Americans. Then she made fun of Americans stupidity on issues, and our own history.

Apparently, all the Islamofascist and Commie types have to do is wait for us to raise the WHITE FLAG.

Frankly if I were in the military and Paul gets even close to the nomination I would resign and demand to be sent home from Afghanistan etc. Why die for a Country that is ready to surrender?

Did you read what I said about hard choices ahead? The country is broke, 16 trillion in debt with 75 trillion in unfunded liability. I don’t know about you but I have been broke a time or two. When you are broke taking care of yourself as best you can is all you can do. The country is broke. The GOP and the Rats have spent all our money and put next two generations into the poor house.

And you think destroying the military is the answer?

Who is going to defend us when Americans are turned into a Islamic State. Yeah you heard me. Paul is a pro-pali, anti-Israel. Bet he wouldn’t have a problem with Sharia Laws right here in the U.S.

You know his Libertarian BS.

Who said anything about destroying the military? Where the hell did that come from, certainly not me. Will we have to make cuts? Probably, but that is a far cry from "destroying the military".

Is today Knee Jerk Day?

re: “Ridiculing those making a serious, sincere effort to reduce debt is not helpful.”

But ridiculing a lunatic and unthinkable commander in chief is necessary
