Could be interesting. Certainly a fresh alternative to Romney or Paul (who shouldn't even have the momentum they have)......

Yeah great judgement.

Sponsors award for Jerry Sandusky (claims he didn’t know he was a kiddie raper perv).

Gives Ensign a heads up that his mistress husband was going public. Wonder if that was before or after Ensign paid them big bucks.

Isn’t it amazing how shallow people are when picking a PRESIDENT. You would think Americans would want to know everything about their candidates.

Yeah just the kind of guy that we need making decisions in the WH.

If Santorum wins, it is a MAJOR spanking for ROMNEY

(no one dares mention that aspect of it)

So... GO TO IT IOWANS~!!

Is all that true really?

Darn.... ANOTHER candidate who is not perfect.. dammit.

Ok on to the next one...

I am sure there must be one person somewhere who has never made a mistake in their life, or had someone else around them make a mistake that they didnt have the foresight to see...

we’ll find him and run him against Obama and everything will be just peachy.

"Claims?" What politician in his right mind would sponsor an award for someone if he actually did know the guy was a kiddie raper perv?

Yes.

PERRY is the only candidate that is honest and above board.
Has he made some mistakes sure. But NOT on his CORE beliefs.

Just like Reagan, he has a core, love him or hate him at least your KNOW what he stands for and how he will lead.

Care to explain how Santorum would've known?

Ex-Sen. Rick Santorum, running for the Republican presidential nomination, in 2002 nominated former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky for a “Congressional Angels in Adoption Award.”

The nomination by Santorum was made in the same year that a Penn State graduate assistant spotted Sandusky allegedly performing a sex act with a young boy in a shower at the university’s athletic complex. He reported the incident a day later to head football coach Joe Paterno.

“Its philosophy is simple: It is easier to develop a child than to rehabilitate an adult,” read the citation from Santorum in an awards dinner program dated Sept. 24, 2002.

The citation was referring to The Second Mile, a charity launched by Sandusky in 1977 to serve disadvantaged children. It was first reported Wednesday by the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Sandusky has since been charged with multiple counts of child abuse. The university’s athletic director and a vice president have been charged with perjury. Paterno, 84, coach for more than four decades, announced on Wednesday that he will retire at the end of the year.

Santorum is running for president as a social conservative and family values champion. He is a strong opponent of abortion, critic of contraception, and outspoken foe of such gay and lesbian causes as marriage equality.

Santorum, a 1980 Penn State graduate, defended Paterno in an ABC News interview, saying he hoped the spreading sex-abuse scandal would not damage a coach who “served in such distinction for all these years.”

The Angels in Adoption awards program is sponsored each year by the non-profit Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute.

we can call it that.

But that is the stuff the Obama people have and likely Romney does too.

It will come out. May be unfair or out of context, but that is how the war is played. Santorum is not ready.

“I trust Santorum but can he beat Obama?”

Very doubtful. Perry could however.

You rehashed all the facts of the Sandusky scandal, all of which are very well known now. However, you failed to answer my question, which, to refresh your memory, was:
What politician in his right mind would sponsor an award for someone if he actually did know the guy was a kiddie raper perv?

Excuse me. 2002 was when the AC reported the Shower rape to Penn State. Paterno etc etc. You mean no one gave him a heads up on this problem? I find that HARD to believe. Unless ofcourse all of them are DEMS. Which could be true.
