Let me be clear...I’m not saying I support Romney, but Rush Limbaugh clearly was backing him in the final week(s) of the republican primaries that went to John McCain.

Rush said he did it because compared to Juan McCain he is conservative. I remember him passionately telling people to vote for Romney. So even if Romney does win at least (according to Rush) he won’t be as bad as McCain. Possibly a lessor of two evils deal, but Rush was pretty passionate about saying Romney was the true conservative.

Here's what Limbaugh said in February 08. “I think now, based on the way the campaign has shaken out, that there probably is a candidate on our side who does embody all three legs of the conservative stool, and that’s Romney,” Rush Limbaugh told his huge audience. “The three legs of the stool are national security/foreign policy, the social conservatives, and the fiscal conservatives.”

Laura Ingraham introduced Romney at CPAC as a “true conservative” and “a conservative’s conservative.”

Can someone name a major issue Romeny moved to the center on in the last four years? That's why I get mental whiplash when I listen to the jawbone media.
