I like Rick Santorum....but I think you may be right. I also think it will boil down to Romney v Gingrich.

“As soon as the liberal media start with the “dead baby” story...”

THAT would work very strongly AGAINST liberals.

If it’s gonna be Santorum - which I Like - we need to get behind him yesterday. We need to be taking out LOANS to produce ads attacking Romney.

I like Santorum....but still think that Speaker Gingrich would be the stronger president in actually getting things done because of his know how.

I think that this has gotten personal enough for Newt that he will be on a scorched earth campaign against Romney. Newt knows now he has no chance but he will not sleep before he knocks Mitt out.

Here is hoping you are right. Even with all of the slick flip flopping aside it is Unbelievable that ANYONE would have voted for Romney after that recent McCain redux - sidestepping classifying 0bama as a Socialist in the O’Reilly interview told folks everything they needed to know about Mitt, and none of it was good.. shakes head...

Oh yes, and welcome to FR :)

May God guide our course.

I hope Perry really is reassessing and he and his backers figure out that he is the probably the only candidate who can take most all blue states. I don’t think Santorum can do it and I’m pretty sure Romney can’t.

Don’t think he would have scrapped SC if that were so. I wish he’d stayed in, Newt and Mittens are going to finish each other off, Santorum will be painted as a weirdo with the baby thing and we will have no place left to turn.

“I think Santorum will fade leaving Mitt v. Newt with crazy uncle Ron riding in the back seat. JMO...”

I believe you’re exactly right. While Bachmann probably won’t make much difference, people shouldn’t be so gleeful to see Perry drop out, as it is moving us closer to being stuck with Mittens. How many have thought ahead to life outside our rarified primary squabbles, to our nominee being out there alone, in front of the vast spectrum of voters, going head to head with the Slickster in Chief and the mammoth media? If it’s Santorum, it’s not a pretty vision. Newt’s the only one who’s capable of deftly taking all the crap BHO et al will dish out, and throwing it right back at them.

We’re going to be burdened with Mittens and RuPaul for a long time, I fear, so I fervently hope that Perry’s votes will go to Newt. He needs it, and he’s the only hope we have of defeating Romney and then BHO. The Left, DBM and GOP elites are scared to death of Newt, and that should be a strong recommendation in his favor.

Too many stayed home in ‘08 to “teach the GOP and America a lesson”. And look what we ended up with as POTUS. Well, this time, we have to concentrate solely on defeating BHO - our country will not survive a second, even more destructive, term of B. Hussein.
