Last week the 2009-2010 Planned Parenthood annual report was released and it shows that the leading abortion group had suffered a significant decline in private contributions. In 2009 they reported 308 million in private donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations yet in 2010 they saw that number fall to 223.8 million.
The chart below illustrates the drop-off:

72% more to go!!
While it’s good that PP donations were down, we need to see the average donations of other ‘charity’ organizations. During the recession, people tend to reduce their donations, regardless the cause.
People should also take note that the Susan Komen Foundation makes major contributions to Planned Parenthood. So don’t buy the pink label crap.
what a touchy subject that is!
I’ve got friends who are cancer survivors or best friends with one - or sisters of survivors.
This Susan Komen thing is big with them.
Between my rejection of the Girl Scouts and now this?
I’ve become a real grinch with all this girlpower business.
The Romneys stopped donating to, and fund raising for Planned Parenthood years ago, every little bit helps.
Wonder how they will blame the pro-lifers for this.
All charities are suffering, and donations are down.
This is the only instance yet I’ve seen where decreased donations are actually SAVING lives...
Planned Parenthood has been supported by the elites since the 1920s. Back in the 60s, they were saying that the piull would eliminate the need for abortion. Now, they are one of the major abortion servers. The word is getting around that they are not running women’s’ health clinics but abortion clinics.
I know it. I got into it with someone who argued that Susan Komen’s “contributions” to Planned Parenthood were marked for breast cancer screening only. My reply was, “I don’t care if the money is marked for paying their light bill. Any cash they don’t have to spend on utilities or breast cancer screening means more cash for killing unborn children. That’s the bottom line.”
And here’s the sad thing...Planned Parenthood does not “screen” for breast cancer.
Oh - they might have someone offer manual exams - but they do not have mammograms.
Only real medical facilities have that equipment - the places people go to receive real medical treatment.
Well said.
