Santa Fe police expressed frustration on Wednesday as they said illegal immigrants who were arrested on various different charges are ending up back on the streets time after time.
Police said theyre frustrated that they keep arresting the same criminals over and over when there's supposed to be a system in place to prevent that.
Mario Orantes-Munoz, 22, is a wanted man. Police said he's accused of breaking into someone's home and stealing two powerful rifles. In June, he was also charged with burglary. According to his records, Munoz is not in this country legally, and in June, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement put a detainer on him.
"Somebody's dropping the ball," said Lt. Louis Carlos, of the Santa Fe Police Department. "These suspects have an immigration detainer, meaning Immigration takes control of them. And somehow, they're ending up back on the streets of Santa Fe."

Fly his criminal arse to Zimbabwe, and give them $5K to hold him in jail for a year.
I thought Santa Fe was one of those liberal cities that believed in unlimited mulligans for this kind of thing. Now their policecritters are getting fed up with it?
the answer is to state that deaths of criminal aliens will not be investigated.
Watch the rats scurry!
Heads up to Cedar Dave for the NM Ping List.
Is this supposed to surprise anyone?
Santa Fe's San Francisco-type liberal mayor has declared Santa Fe a "sanctuary city" where illegals will not be stopped, questioned, detained, etc. Not only the cops are fed up, but the Occupy Santa Fe types who have been camped out in the railyard park are giving up due to drunks, druggies, homeless, illegals etc. that are assaulting and robbing them every night. Hey, I thought in the 99% group think, everything that is mine is also yours? What's wrong guys?
Time to unoccupy? Leaders ready to pack up Railyard camp, citing drunks and conflicts

A little FYI; I spoke with an old time Santa Fe resident last week and she told me the Arabs are buying up many of the shops on and around the Plaza. The old timers aren’t happy with the new Santa Fe. They haven’t been happy for 40 years.
That sounds odd. What for? Arabs looking for a new way to spend our money or something more nefarious like introducing Islamic culture to brain-dead Santa Fe liberals?
Why is SFPD turning criminals over to ICE before their prosecution and time served?
Junk made in China and Pakistan sold around the Santa Fe plaza to silly tourists ?
Many muslims are buying motels along I-40 from Gallup and beyond, too?

I work in the hotel business George and I can tell you without a doubt that they are not all Muslims. 65 - 70% of the hotel industry is now owned by individuals from Pakistan/India/and the Orient. I’ve met Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, Singhs, Koreans, Taiwanese etc. Hindus have long been the majority while Singhs, Sikhs and Koreans didn’t really enter the industry until the last 5 - 10 years.
The rest of the industry is made up of people from the rest of the world.
Right now there are a lot of hotels that have been foreclosed on by banks and a lot of East Indians are purchasing these properties. The reason? They don’t typically believe in carrying debt and rally their family and friends to all become partners, thus managing to put down the 40 - 50% banks are asking for down on hotels now.
Thanks.
We have seen signs that say : American owned

I have too and the funny thing about that is that many of the people I was referring to actually are American citizens. Some are here on green cards or whatever, to help their families, but most have become citizens so I laugh when I see those signs. One gentleman from India said they should just write “white owned”. I said yep!

Have you ever been to Santa Fe and walked around the Plaza and window shopped?
>Santa Fe’s San Francisco-type liberal mayor has declared Santa Fe a “sanctuary city” where illegals will not be stopped, questioned, detained, etc.
There’s a VERY simple fix... but it would cause quite a stir.
Governor declares a state of invasion, as authorized by NM Constitution Art V, Sec 4 — “The supreme executive power of the state shall be vested in the governor, who shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed. He shall be commander in chief of the military forces of the state, except when they are called into the service of the United States. He shall have power to call out the militia to preserve the public peace, execute the laws, suppress insurrection and repel invasion.”
Then the Governor would order the National Guard to besiege and clear the city; all illegal immigrants would be passed to the appropriate processing (deportation, trial, whatever).
The Governor would also issue orders to arrest, for charges of treason (as the “sanctuary city” policy accords the invaders both aid and comfort), the city’s Mayor, DA, and Chief of Police per NM Constitution Art II, Sec 16 — “Treason against the state shall consist only in levying war against it, adhering to its enemies, or giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.”
Furthermore, the Governor could then demand Federal aid via US Constitution Art 4, Sec 4. Federal refusal would, obviously, be grounds for treason charges under the US Constitution.
(And it’d be pretty damn satisfying to see them shitting a brick when they have to choose between outright treason and contrary to the open-border-policy they seem entranced with.)
