NEW YORK, New York, January 5, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – With the highest abortion rate in the nation, nearly double the 23% national average, New York continues to be a place that babies in the womb cannot love.
New York City Department of Health released data that shows that 83,750 abortions were performed in New York City in 2010, which translated to 40% of all pregnancies, down from 41% in 2009.
The Bronx saw a staggering 48% of pregnancies end in abortion. The city lost 38,574 African-Americans babies to abortion, a dumbfounding 60% of the city’s African-American pregnancies. New York has the highest abortion rate in the country.
“In parts of the city more than half of all pregnancies end in abortion - this is very, very disturbing,” said Greg Pfundstein, Executive Director of the Chiaroscuro Foundation, a pro-life organization that says it was instrumental in the city’s decision to itemize the abortion and pregnancy statistics and release them in a more timely manner.

At this point in the baby's life they begin to form teeth and fingernails and genital organs become recognizable. The baby can make a fist and suck their thumb. They can get hiccups. And you believe that this is not an independent life?
How do they get these stats? I can believe the % is high but how do they gather total #s of pregnancies? Maybe a better stat would be compared to births that year. There is no way all pregnancies are reported in some of those communities.
To pass along this info to liberals the facts have to be more scientific and precise.
I have a photo of my baby as an embryo and she is 100% human! (she is adopted as an embryo).
I sometimes wonder (and I hate the thought of this) if Obama is in fact God’s judgment on America for enabling this vile holocost to continue.

A unique dna is created at the time of conception. A 1 day old fetus is already a unique human with its own dna. It can not develop into any other creature. A fetus is as unique and human as any other person on this planet.

Well, an embryo does have a heartbeat. Did you ever hear of anyone being buried with a beating heart??
Then there’s the logic in some of the laws that say as long as the baby is still attached to the umbilical cord, the mother has the right to kill it. I wonder why we don’t have a law that says if someone pulls a prank on you and handcuffs you to someone, then you can kill the person who’s handcuffed to you and chop ‘em up since they’re presenting you with an undue burden and whatnot.
