(Honolulu, HI) -- You can expect increased aircraft noise over Kaneohe and over the Kona side of the Big Island through January 18th because of special military exercises. A dozen FA/18 Hornet aircraft will be involved in exercises between Marine Corps Base Hawaii and the Pohakuloa Training Area on the Big Island. After the exercises in Hawaii, the Hornets are headed to Japan and then to deployment in Afghanistan.
Forget the defense cuts , cut DADT repeal costs instead
The biggest cut in Defense spending should be in the Air Force One budget.
Nice to know we still have a military presence in Asia.
We still use manned jet fighters??

The only requirement for inclusion in the Navair Pinglist is an interest in Naval Aviation.
This is a medium to low volume pinglist.
I and several others oftem rebut these letters, pointing out their lack of complaint about loud Harleys, rice boyz and their boom box cars, etc. That and our support for training to stay safe usually shuts them up.
It is plain that it is the military existance that is their issue, not the sound.

There are some great ways to have ‘cut the budget’ mentioned on this string that I am sure not one Sen/Cong had the gonads to bring up.
Cut AF1 budget...we wish but this guy is as dangerous whether here or not - used to ‘joke’ that when Pres/pols ‘out of town’ if doesn’t cost us any money - the thought being if they weren’t ‘here’ to legislate, we would come out ahead.
If they would take all the money it took to allow a scene such as on the Pier at Norfolk over the Christmas weekend (1st kiss) to fester up we would have tons of money -
Oh yes, QUIT PROSECUTING MARINES etal for doing their duty.
Also the SEALS that ‘got’ OBL will probably be turned over to the World Court if asked...
If they weren’t on that Chopper, it is best to let the World think they were......
Just thinking maybe we pulled an “Air Iran” on them...remember the airliner the Vincennes supposedly wantonly shot out of the sky.
When they showed the ‘bodies’ all neatly tethered up and, for the most part, intact my first thought was “Oscar” the man overboard dummy.
