Is this how Obama win will be guaranteed? Group with ties to president engaged in 3rd party drive.

AE has reportedly raised more than $22 million so far and has already been certified to be placed on the ballot in 12 states now, including California.

To getting on state ballots, AE evidenced mass organizing skills. The group says it collected over 2 million signatures nationwide in its effort to get on state ballots.

KleinOnline found that two of AE’s board members, Kellen Arno and Michael Arno, were paid by the group for helping to run the massive signature gathering drive via their firm, Arno Political Consultants.

Michael Arno is senior adviser to the Podesta Group lobbying and public relations firm, which was founded by John Podesta, who directed Obama’s transition into the White House in 2008.

Podesta is director of the Center for American Progress, which is reportedly highly influential in helping to craft White House policy.

A Time magazine article profiled the influence of Podesta’s Center for American Progress in the formation of the Obama administration, stating that “not since the Heritage Foundation helped guide Ronald Reagan’s transition in 1981 has a single outside group held so much sway.”

Well ladeedah! I would never suspect anything devious such as trying to take anti Obama votes away from the Republicans so that 0 could win.

If both sides are so afraid of a 3rd party taking their votes away, will we be forever stuck with only
2 parties?

This story makes no sense so far. The one state mentioned is California. How does it help Obummer to spend buckets of leftist money to split the vote in a state the ‘Rats will easily win?

Well on my last presidential ballot, there were about 10 third parties, so I'm not sure how one more is going to make much of difference. The trick (if this is Obama’s plan) is getting someone on the ballot who has enough name recognition and “gravitas” to attract votes. However, he also risks that candidate pulling votes from him as well as his opponent. If I remember correctly, the last viable 3rd party candidate Ross Perot, pretty much drew from Clinton and Bush voters equally.

Ok, who is Obama going to plug in to this slot as his doup? Bloomberg is my guess, unless they got some real dirt on Trump....

I have been saying for eons this will be a 4 or 5 person race, I fear I maybe right ( Obama, Romney(?), Paul, Nader, and ? )

Meanwhile, AE’s board also includes former John McCain aide Mark McKinnon, Will Marshall of the Progressive Policy Institute, former New Jersey governor Christine Todd Whitman, Larry Diamond of the Hoover Institute, and former Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair.

Did you read it? They have received certification to be on the ballot in 12 states. I know Aaron’s articles are usually long but it does help to read the whole thing. They only need to get certain states in order to mess up the election.

Yeah right.

The third party will siphon WAYYYYYYYYYYY more voters off of Obama than the Republican.

Furthermore, Democrat coattails will disappear.

This Americans Elect is a bunch of libtards, it would appear. A left-wing third party would guarantee Obama’s defeat. It would be an outlet for all those lefties who are disappointed with Obama’s failure to deliver on his more extreme promises.

Bingo!

And Willard can’t beat Obama even with just two parties.

If Willard the Lib (of Massachusett’s RomneyCare mandates, public option, exchanges, and subsidized $50 abortions fame) is shoved down our throats, I’m voting 3rd party or write-in, as a staunch social conservative to make the point that we will never ever ever settle for Bush Sr, Dole, McCain, or Romney mushy moderates again!

I bet millions upon millions of other so-cons do the same. And millions of others will simply sit out the election all together and wait for Rubio or whomever (versus Hillary or whomever) in 2016.
