So, Jennifer Epstein wites a breathless puff piece about a breathless puff piece written by Jodi Kanter about the magnificent Michelle and the God like Obamas.
New York Times "reporter" gets 7 figure advance to write this drivel, after one interview with the Obamas, to come out just in time for the election season.
Again, I know absolutely nothing about the book, so corrections invited; however I would also bet that the words "scrubbed", "committeed", and "fictionalized" might apply.

My fellow Americans. A few hours ago I called president elect Gingrich to congratulate him on his win and to pledge my full cooperation in the transfer of power to the new administration.
The American people have spoken. While it is a disappointment to my supporters, we are also proud that we live in a land governed by democratic ideals and the rule of law. We will live to fight another day.
To those citizens who cast their vote for me, I say: thank you so much. Michelle and I will forever be grateful. I knew that I could count on the people of Hawaii and the District of Columbia.
I began this adventure in serving as your president four years ago promising Hope and Change. Tonight, with the help of our opponents, that promise has been fulfilled.
We must now turn our attention to uniting this country after a long and divisive campaign. Let us put aside our differences and come together as Americans truly able to get along in the spirit of brother and sisterhood.
In a few weeks I will take my family back to Chicago to begin a new mission spreading the good word of universal human rights at the Obama Center for Environmental Justice.

A ltttle math is required here to demystify this and so many other “pick a number” schemes. Lets call the number selected X. Multiply by 3, 3X. Add 3, 3X+3. Multiply by 3 again, 3(3X+3). Expanding yields 9X+9. So it is easy to see that any digit selected (1-9) will yield a multiple of 9 being 18,27,36,45,54,63,72,81, or 90. All of these two digits numbers added together will add up to 9.
