You have a choice not to rape someone even if whores aren’t available. If it was my daughter he’d probably have a bullet in the head.

IF a reduction of sentence were granted the locals would raise a stink like you can not believe.
And rightfully so.

“Once inside, according to court testimony, he repeatedly raped and sodomized the victim over the course of four hours.

During that time, he also punched and slapped the victim in the face, stole a small amount of money from her wallet, dragged her across the room, threatened her with a knife and pair of scissors, and burned her breast with a lighter, among other things, according to court records and testimony.”

10 years in a Mexican style prison seems appropriate in this case.

What was his defense “I know she was 10, but she looked 12.”

The victim was 17 years old.

The guy was stupid all he had to do go outside the gates and he had his choice of whores at any age..

I was over there about 35 years ago. It's not like that over there anymore. I have a friend who was over there recently and at the Camp he was stationed at had one "club" down the street an elderly Korean woman owned and ran. She had a younger Filipino bar girl shaking down the customers for drink money. That was the "downtown" entertainment for the whole Camp.

The way the word ‘rape’ is now abused (to the point of one feminist calling ALL sex to be rape, even in marriage), my first thought is that this 17 year old girl started flirting with him somewhere went to a room with him...started doing some stuff, and then changed her mind...or maybe changed her mind after the event, just to get some money or some other revenge.

Considering how often the above scenarios play out, I was actually surprised to see this is REALLY a forcible rape - and this guy does need to fry...providing the story is accurate. 10 years is a GIFT...he should be doing 30 years at a North Korean labor camp - and hopefully he’ll have to be registered when he gets back here.

Dodge City was an attempt at humor ... meaning, back in those days, MP things were a little wilder than now (I'm assuming)

I remember BangYang whiskey fights that came out of nowhere .. suspected CIC types against us ... sort'a cops and neighborhood thing.

I'm married to a Filipina because I fell in love with Asian culture at an early age.

The sex was pretty phenominal, too.

OK, but there was something about Dodge City as a quip at the time, so whatever it was I don’t remember LOL. Long time ago.

I see reading down the page that you were 51st Signal Bn. which was just down the street from my old compound the 55th MP Co. where I was for 16 months 1966-early 1968.

I was the guy TDY to the U.S. Army Medics/S.K. National Health Department working with the four female ROK/KNP that kept the town clean for rowdies like you. Of course that was about twenty years before you were there, and I didn’t graffitti RQSR was here anywhere, so you wouldn’t have known. ;)

The 51st was up MSR51 from the police station at the 'Y' in the road down from from CRC.

My yobo was across the street from that police station.

I remember going in there drunk one day (saturday?) just to look at a Korean police station and they were amused with me.

I did my best to adopt what I could of the culture and I was taken to dinner by some ROC guys to a native restaraunt where I ate sikya gogi for the first (and only) time ... tasted pretty good, too.

Got loaded with papasan on Mokli just a few times and I was the king at watermelon eating.

Stole a bag of rice from the mess hall and in appreciation, I was gifted with a large honeyed puffed rice (popped locally by some mamasan) Quaker should LOVE to get their hands on the recipe.

Claimed my poncha had been stolen, got another, but I had really given it to a guy down town that made a pant and jacket rain suit out it for (I think 100 wan ..) or somrething like that

I'm loaded with the stories and experiences that had a great impact and influence on my life.

Wouldn't change a thing .. ( except maybe, I wish I hadn't fallen in love with my first real girlfriend ... too traumatic for my young and naive maleness)

I wonder how Obama’s military cuts will affect the forces in Korea. After 50 years there it appears we’ve worn out our welcome. Time to pack up and come home. The situation in Korea is more stable and under control than Iraq is, yet Obama couldn’t pull the plug fast enough on Iraq.
