JAKE Tapper - makes the point that if Ron Paul leaves the party to become a 3rd party candidate, he would ruin his son’s chances in the future. Rand Paul has been Ron Paul’s best advocate, cleaning up after him. Rand Paul actually has the chance to become a viable Pres. candidate someday. Ron Paul would likely ruin that if he went to a 3rd.
Tapper’s assessment makes sense to me, but does Ron Paul even care about his son’s future?
Bret Bair referring to Obama’s running against the “Do nothing Congress”
What the House Republicans should say is:
Yeah, you could call us that. But what we’ve been doing is, allowing your Socialist President and your Socialist leadership in the Senate to DO NOTHING!
But I won’t be holding my breath.
Ron Paul has said, over and over, that he’s not interested in being a third party candidate. He’s simply saying ‘never say never’ but the left keeps blowing that out of context.
What we’re seeing is nothing more than wishful thinking by the media/press in hoping a third party candidate will split the Republican ticket. I cannot fathom Paul doing it but hope springs eternal for the left.
Help us, Obi Rand Kenobi, you’re our only hope.
I don’t think Paul would pull in votes nearly to the extent that H. Ross Perot did when he gave the election to Clinton, but in a close race, he could definitely give it to Obama.
I pray he cares more about his country than to do that, but you never know with a crazy person.
“Tappers assessment makes sense to me, but does Ron Paul even care about his sons future?”
He does. Wait for the deal: a mittens and Rand Paul ticket. Any other logical explanation as to why the Paul faction doesn’t tear into mittens?
(Full disclosure: I’m a supporter of the Paul faction.)
