I have an Egyptian colleague who recently went on a trip to Europe with his family. During one of the train journeys, his 7-year-old daughter got friendly with a similar aged American girl on the train, and then both the parents also introduced themselves since they had a few hours more to go. After a few minutes of casual conversation, my colleague found out that they were Jewish Americans. According to his own admission, he said “Shakila, as soon as I found out that they were Jewish, I had this sudden urge to push them all out of the train”. To say that I was shocked beyond belief is an understatement. I just asked him, “Why, Ahmed? Were they not nice people?” To that he replied: “They seemed nice in the beginning before I found out their true identity, but once I did, I just could continue making idle conversation with them, nor could I let my daughter play with their girl, so I just pulled my wife and kids away from them and moved to a different compartment of the train.” So as you can see, this is the kind of hatred that many Muslims, especially the Arabs, harbor in their hearts against the Jews.

Which is between the ARABS and the Jews, not the muslims and the Jews. The Jews came from Isaac, and the arabs from Ishmael. People get muslims and arabs mixed up all the time - the Jews and arabs (and Christians) have the same God, the God of Abraham. The muslims' god is the pagan god, allah, the moon god. So, when people say the muslims have the same God as the Jews, they're dead wrong! They do not!
That's NOT at all the way the muslims see it. Muslims believe that Issac was an usurper, that Abraham was actually about to sacrifice ishmael at "allahs command," and that the true lineage of Abraham actually descends through ishmael, rather than the Jewish and Christian accepted beliefs of Issac (then Jacob, then the sons, which beget the Tribes of Israel.
Since Christians and Jews descend from Issac the usurper, they're "unclean" and are to be subjugated.

I understand, but many of the Arabs are now Muslim and don’t discern the difference either. They often profess Allah is the god of Abraham and Ishmael. I’m aware of the delta but god said theyd be at mankind and mankind at them at its pretty much that way.
Also said between Ishmael and Isaac that Abraham’s see would go from Sinai to Euphrates and that’s dead on ad well if you consider Arabs and Jews location today. The Persians start at the Euphrates and go east from there which is why Iraq had the Sunni/Shia problem it has.
That is how I understood it as well that since Ishmael was first born Isaac took his place in line.
It’s also why the Arabs look at other Muslims as lesser - which ticks off the other Muslims to no end and makes them even more uppity.
It’s only a small step from, “...push them out of the
train.” to “push them into the oven”.
A phobia is an unreasoned fear, there is no such thing
as Islamophobia.

And on the other hand, I have this beautiful Saudi student, a woman of around 40, whose mother told her, “find a good man, even if he’s Jewish!” I understand the problem of Islamic anti-semitism, and the person in this article is reprehensible. But I refuse to paint with too broad a brush.
