Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas said on Sunday that the PA will not meet Israel’s demand that it recognize Israel as the Jewish State, Kol Yisrael radio reported. According to the report, Abbas explained this statement using the reasoning that once that the PA agrees to this requirement, there would be no value to the million and a half PA Arabs living in Israel, and no refugee would be allowed to come back to Israel, in keeping with the PA demand that Israel allow millions of Arab refugees to return to their old homes in Israeli cities as part of...

You will recall that last Friday, I blogged a report that CNN Israel had fired all its Jewish journalists. Several of my blogging friends were afraid to run with the story, largely because it came from a blog that most of us had never seen before. I ran with it (although as a "Report" and not as confirmed fact) because I found the fact that they had all the journalists' names and that one of them was confirmed to me independently by someone who knew him, convincing. CNN has finally responded to the rumor. The response is not going to...

We have always known how anti-Israel and biased CNN (Crescent News Network) is. Now there is no pretense. They have laid bare their antisemitism for all the world to see. Unabashed prejudice. One can only imagine the propaganda packaged as "news" that we will be subjected to from their 'Palestinian' stringers. CNN Fires Entire Jewish Staff Of Israel Bureau - And Retains Only Arab Reporters (Before It's News) CNN's Israel bureau is downsizing, reportedly to cope with a reduced budget due to falling advertising revenues. That doesn't explain why they fired four Israeli Jewish journalists (out of a crew of...

Today in Washington, First Lady Michelle Obama announced dictates of Obamacare and her Healthy Kids Initiative will require pork, bacon, ham and other non-kosher, non-halal foods be served the nations’ schools, including those operated by Jewish or Muslim organizations. “Everyone understands the benefits of chicken in a diet, but pork is often called “The Other White Meat” said the First Lady. “Lean pork is a great alternative to fatty beef” added Second Lady Jill Biden who joined Mrs. Obama for the announcement, held at the new Mother Seaton – Christ the Redeemer Birth Control Pill Distribution Center. The only hitch...

Silence settles over the auditorium of the Ottmar Gerster municipal music school in Weimar, Germany. From a corner of the hall, a group of elderly women begin to sing, timidly, in German, “A boy saw a little rose, little rose upon the fields.” Schubert’s melody rises, graceful and solemn; the audience, some 70 people from various age groups and nationalities listens intently. Soon, the voices fade away, and a middle-aged man with a beard, glasses and curly hair sits down at the piano to lead the audience in the next song. But this time, the words are in Yiddish. “If...

Keith Hudson, Father of Katy Perry, Apologizes For Anti-Semitic Remarks By Joel Leyden Israel News Agency Jerusalem --- January 10, 2012 .... In a letter addressed to the ADL, Simon Wiesenthal Center and myself, representing the Israel News Agency, Keith Hudson, father of singer Katy Perry, apologized for recently making anti-Semitic remarks. Yesterday, I wrote the following letter to Mr. Hudson: "Dear Preacher Hudson, As a man who believes in Jesus Christ - why do you make racist statements about Jews and money? You stated: 'You know how to make the Jew jealous? Have some money, honey.' 'You go to...

The ex-Muslim who blogs over at Liberated continues her explorations of Islamic antisemitism: I have an Egyptian colleague who recently went on a trip to Europe with his family. During one of the train journeys, his 7-year-old daughter got friendly with a similar aged American girl on the train, and then both the parents also introduced themselves since they had a few hours more to go. After a few minutes of casual conversation, my colleague found out that they were Jewish Americans. According to his own admission, he said “Shakila, as soon as I found out that they were Jewish,...

BERLIN (JTA) -- German-Jewish author Rafael Seligmann has launched a Jewish quarterly magazine. Jewish Voice From Germany, a private initiative started last week, is aiming to convince English-speaking Jews around the world that there is a future for Jewish life in Germany. Seligmann, 64, a native of Israel who came to Germany with his parents in 1957, told JTA that it pains him that many Jews outside Germany associate his country only with the Holocaust. “The fact is, we are a small but a very fast-growing Jewish community in Germany,” Seligmann said in a telephone interview. “We have a vivid...

Food memories are vivid. What you ate as a kid can whisk you right back to that lost time in your life — but for my mother's parents, Martha and Jerry Schneider, one special food memory eludes them. My grandparents spent most of their lives in Mexico City but now live in Los Angeles. After many years of living in Mexico City, one particular recollection still stands out: the best Jewish food they had ever tasted was cooked by a couple in downtown Mexico City on a street called Justo Sierra. Although Mexico City was home, their families were from...

The girls in this picture have no connection to this story. In fact, it's a sad comment on the state of our people that when I did a Google image search for 'Jewish girls' (no quotation marks), every one that came up before this one was arguably pornographic. Seven Jewish girls between the ages of 11-18 have been abducted in the past month by Bedouin men in southern Israel. At least one was raped. Seven victims last month alone are aged 11-18. These are only cases that were reported to police but many others are believed to have taken place...

"If Joseph Goebbels was around, he'd be very proud of the Democrat Party because they have an incredible propaganda machine." Those words of Congressman Allen West, R-Plantation, caused local Democrats and their Jewish supporters to shake and shiver with anger laced with a bit of politics. Frankly, I don't know which posture is more important to them. The Anti-Defamation League, the American Jewish Committee and local Jewish organizations immediately responded to calls for action from their Democratic cohorts and sent out messages of outrage to West over his comments

The Republican Jewish Coalition will host a candidate forum on Wednesday. N.J. Gov. Chris Christie will give the keynote speech and all of the major contenders are reportedly confirmed to attend, but one: Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas. “Ron would be happy to speak to their group, but he was not invited,” spokesman Jesse Benton told Capital Hill, via email. “We called to ask if he could speak, and they said he was not welcome.”

On Wednesday, Dec. 7, the Republican Jewish Coalition will host a presidential-candidates forum featuring Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, Jon Huntsman, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney, and Rick Santorum. Not invited is the GOP candidate currently polling around third in New Hampshire and second in Iowa: Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas). The explanation: Paul was not invited to attend the RJC's candidates forum because the organization - as it has stated numerous times in the past - "rejects his misguided and extreme views," said [RJC Executive Director Matt] Brooks.

Sometimes it astounds me the extent to which a progressive "journalist" will go to spin stories in their direction, thus putting politics before serving the readers. Sometimes it astounds me the extent to which a progressive Jew will go to promote their favorite politicians thus putting politics before either their home country, America or the Jewish people. In his latest column in the paper he publishes, Gary Rosenblatt of the Jewish Week astounded me times two, as he talked about the disastrous ADL/Abe Foxman request for Jews to avoid criticizing the POTUS and warned that if American Jews upset President...

An Open Letter to Abe Foxman, National Director of ADL Dear Abe, As you yourself have said, Islamic anti-Semitism constitutes the largest threat faced today by world Jewry. Funded in the main by Saudi petro dollars, mosques and madrassas around the globe teach millions of Muslims that Jews are the sons of monkeys and pigs, the murderers of prophets and the enemies of Islam. This poison has reached beyond Muslim lands and into Europe where Jews and Jewish institutions have become under increasing physical assault. It has also reached onto American shores, and radical Muslim leaders here teach American Muslims...

British MP Mike Freer was threatened by 'peaceful' Muslims on Friday as he tried to meet constituents in a North Finchley mosque. Mr Freer said about 12 people forced their way inside, with one of them calling him a "Jewish homosexual pig". The trouble began after messages on the Muslims Against Crusades website urged supporters to target him, he said. Mr Freer said a message posted ahead of the incident on the group's website made reference to Labour MP Stephen Timms, who was stabbed while holding a surgery in east London last year.

A video posted on Tuesday shows a young man spewing anti-Semitic rhetoric at an observer of the Occupy Wall Street protests in Zuccotti Park. The protester mocked the older Jewish man and told him to “go back to Israel.” National Review correspondent Charles Cooke explained what happened: Moments after I arrived, I saw a Jewish gentleman being berated when he criticized a protester. (Shortly after my video camera was switched off, he (inexplicably) shouted the N-word at the same man.)

French president Nicolas Sarkozy squarely blames Israel for stalled talks and says the Jewish state's national identity is "silly." According to the oft-controversial French magazine Le Canard Enchaîne, President Nicolas Sarkozy thinks the idea of a Jewish state is "silly." "It is silly to talk about a Jewish state," Sarkozy said in reference to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's assertion no true peace could be made until officials in Ramallah accepted Israel's essential Jewish identity. "It would be like saying that this table is Catholic," he added. "There are two million Arabs in Israel." Sarkozy also placed sole blame for failed...

Caroline Glick reports that American Jews cannot tell their friends from their enemies. According to a Gallup poll released last month, 80% of American Jews have favorable views of American Muslims. Seventy percent believe that they are not supportive of al-Qaida. These data indicate that American Jews are second only to American Muslims in their support for Muslim Americans. Indeed 6% more American Jews than American Muslims believe that American Muslims face prejudice due to their religion. American Jewish championing of American Muslims is disconcerting when compared with American Jewish treatment of the philo-Semitic Evangelical Christians. Matthew Knee discussed this...

(CNSNews.com) – Former New York City Mayor Ed Koch says President Obama’s recent actions, including his speech at the U.N. General Assembly last week, have satisfied him that the president is a firm supporter of Israel. As a result, the Jewish Democrat says he will now back Obama’s re-election bid. Koch’s remarks Tuesday in an email to supporters came two weeks after he was credited for contributing to a Republican special election victory in a historically Democratic New York congressional district by endorsing GOP candidate Bob Turner. The veteran Democrat said he was doing so in a bid to “cause...

Spain’s Foreign Minister Trinidad Jimenez presented a new policy for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on Saturday, declaring Israel as the homeland of the Jews for the first time and saying that the issue of Palestinian refugees should be solved in such a way that it does not compromise Israel’s current demographic makeup of a Jewish majority. Jimenez’s speech before the United Nations General Assembly is particularly dramatic in light of the fact that Spain is considered the leading EU country to support Palestinian rights. Adopting such a pro-Israel stance may lead to other countries to follow suit.

One is a plastic fantasy built on lies and destructive dreams. The other is a little girl's doll. I have been writing about 21st century anti-Semitism since the turn of the century. Words don’t fail me, nor has my spirit grown dim. But what is now going on is so ghastly, so omnipresent, so “over the top,” that even a careful wordsmith is hard-pressed to describe it accurately without sounding (and being accused of sounding) “paranoid,” “hysterical,” “strident,” and, yes, “utterly without a sense of humor.”I am finding it hard to laugh about John Heilemann’s cover story in New York...

ALBANY, September 15, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) - David Weprin, a Democrat in the New York State Assembly who supported New York’s recent gay “marriage” law, has lost a bid for a U.S. congressional seat, giving the seat to a Republican for the first time in 88 years. Both traditional marriage supporters and local sources say that the marriage vote was critical to Weprin’s downfall in the heavily Orthodox Jewish district, despite himself being an Orthodox Jew. The special election on Tuesday was held to replace former Democratic U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner, representing New York’s 9th District, following his resignation in June...

If the polls are right, the voters in the solidly Democratic New York City district that Anthony Weiner represented until earlier this year are about to elect long-shot Republican businessman Bob Turner to Congress. Of course, this will be read by Republicans as a sign that the Obama administration has lost support even in bluer-than-blue areas (which is partially true) and written off by Democrats as a fluke produced by the highly irregular demographics of New York’s Ninth District (also partly true). However, both of those blanket statements mask the true reason that Bob Turner will win this race —...

What to make of the Siena College bombshell poll placing Republican Bob Turner with a six-point lead -- up from a six-point deficit last month -- over Democrat David Weprin? Does it mean the hotly contested race for the House seat vacated by sext addict Anthony Weiner is really a referendum on President Obama? Or does it finally signal a rightward shift in Jewish voters’ reaction to liberalism’s increasingly anti-Israel/pro-Palestinian stance? Complicating the issue: Weprin himself is an Orthodox Jew, while Turner is Catholic. Yet Weprin’s lead among Jewish voters, who make up about a third of likely voters in...

It’s no surprise that the Democratic National Committee meeting in Chicago on Friday will include briefings on jobs and health care, issues critical to President Obama’s re-election. But “Jewish messaging” will be the third topic presented to top party donors and fund-raisers, according to a schedule obtained by The New York Times. The session, led Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the committee’s chairwoman, and Ira Forman, the Obama campaign’s director of Jewish outreach, underscores a real but unexpected challenge for Mr. Obama. While Jewish voters generally still give the president high marks, some Jewish donors — a major fund-raising constituency for Mr....

SHILO, West Bank (AP) — Rabbi Arele Harel offers an unconventional solution for Orthodox Jewish gay men who want to raise a conventional family: He fixes them up with Orthodox lesbians. His matchmaking service, which has just gone online, has met criticism on opposing fronts. Orthodox Jewish rabbis say Harel should be doing more to encourage gays and lesbians to try to change their sexual orientation. Liberal religious gay groups see Harel's approach as a ploy to suppress homosexuality.

If a Jew -- and a senior-ranking US Senator at that -- is targeted with violence and nobody bothers to report it, does it still count as news? Well, that's what happened. In addition to his being Jewish, Dyatlov "hates" Lieberman, he...

With the first patients having received it two years ago, it is too early to know how successful it will be in the long term. Prof. Dimitrios Karousis, a...

The coming week marks five years since the murder of Pamela Waechter. Who? The close-knit Orthodox Jewish community insists that rabbis, not the NYPD, get the first phone call about a suspected child abuser. Last week the BBC reported that a Jewish court in Jerusalem had ordered a dog be stoned to death. Shortly thereafter they modified the story slightly to say that the court had actually called animal control to have it taken away to the pound. As stories go, this is obviously a dog of another color. There is no word on whether the dog was sent off to keep company with the GPS Shark, that Egyptian media claimed had been trained by Israel to attack swimmers. But it wouldn't surprise me at all. LOS ANGELES, June 8, 2011 — Apparently the Weiner dog does not like his kosher. Anthony Weiner has actually managed to add a new layer to an already tawdry sex scandal. This is not about him marrying a South Asian woman of Pakistan-Indian parentage. Many Jewish people disagree with intermarriage for cultural reasons, but he fell in love and that is his business.
