The highest court in the nation will be the latest to take up arguments relating to Texas redistricting mess. A hearing is scheduled Monday, January 9, before the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. in an attempt to settle which maps will be used for this springs state and congressional elections.

Someone please tell me how "equal protection" is being applied when these stringent "voter rights" Act requirements are only imposed on some Southern States. How is this not unconstitutional?
