God’s little joke on skeptics :-)
You can bet Obummer will not invite him to the White House.
To God be the Glory :)
Don’t forget this one too...
Time of possession for Steelers: 31.06 min.
“Progressive” commie lib heads are progressively exploding all over the place. LOL!!! Deal with it hippies!!!!!!!!
Terrell Suggs better hope the Ravens never play the Broncos in a thunderstorm.
Can’t get any more clear than that!
Don’t forget this one too...
Time of possession for Steelers: 31.06 min.
If I may, I’d like to toss my 2 cents into the pot regarding the sudden end of Sunday’s Steelers/Broncos game. As has been stated on these threads numerous times, I agree that God is not NECESSARILY in favor of any one particular team over another.
It gets even more questionable when you consider that Tebow makes it clear that he loves The Lord; and also consider the fact that at some point in the past, Big Ben had a testimony for the Lord, as well; probably in High School and maybe in college, too. All I know for sure is that an old former Pastor of mine, who was FROM western PA, loved Ben BECAUSE of his testimony as much as for his QB skills.....and was CRUSHED when Ben seemed to go haywire and was involved in possible rapes, an other very questionable off-the-field activities. But Big Ben at his worst, pales in comparison to King David, of Bible history, who still asked for, and was forgiven by, The Lord.
So my personal honest opinion would have to be, that in Sunday’s game, right up to the moment when Ben threw that final-seconds touchdown pass to end regulation play, as far as God was concerned, it was “may the best man win; they’re BOTH my boys, even though Benny needs to polish up his act a bit and get back on the Straight and Narrow.”
But when the official in the End Zone threw up his hands, declaring Ben’s pass a TOUCHDOWN; and when at THAT moment, Ben stuck HIS hands in the air and ran around mocking Tim Tebow, and thereby mocking God, in my opinion; the tide turned. God decided right then and there that his boy, Benjamin, needed a spanking.....which came very swiftly....in the form of the fasted, quickest, shortest SUDDEN DEATH OVERTIME in NFL history.
That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it!
in any case, its funny to say the least.
on a personal note: I could care less about football and dont watch any TV, but am a tebow fan!
Let’s see one of the followers of the ‘religion of peace’ pull off something like that.
The best they could do would be to detonate 31 bombs and then blow themselves up with the remaining 1/6th of a bomb.
As for Tebow and those amazing stats?
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!!! :)
Did the OT period last 31.6 seconds??
Who says it has to be John 3:16? There’s one that, I think, fits more;
(NASB) Deuteronomy 31:6 - “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.”
Or, for the raving Tebow haters who were driven to drink...
(NASB) Proverbs 31:6 - “Give strong drink to him who is perishing, And wine to him whose life is bitter.”
This one is perhaps even MORE appropriate, and one Tebow probably thinks about a lot.
(NIV) Psalms 31:6 - “I hate those who cling to worthless idols; I trust in the LORD.”
Or this one.
(NASB) Job 31:6 - “Let Him weigh me with accurate scales, And let God know my integrity.”
This one is a good lesson.
(NAB) Sirach 31:6 - “Many have come to ruin for the sake of gold, yet destruction lay before their very eyes.”
And I conclude with a selection from Isaiah.
(NAB) Isaiah 31:6 - “Return, O Israelites, to him whom you have utterly deserted.”
But John 3:16 is a good choice too. ;)
Wow, I didn’t know anyone could throw anything 316 yards! I just heard about this guy the other day and wondered what the fuss was. Didn’t know he was a ball player or whatever.
If I had a favorite passage, especially when it comes to sports, it would be Matt 6:27: “fuhgeddaboudit” Buy, hey, if he’s employed and keeping clean, more power to him.
I could not find a rating of 31.6 anywhere. The NFL website say 29.6. The 316 yards is correct.
Tebow and company will be eliminated in the next game. I was praying for the Steelers to win. God loves me too. And there ARE Christians on the Steelers team.
Disappointed that NBC cut away from showing Tebow giving thanks to God at the end of the game.
