Christie is leaving the door open. "If Gov. Romney comes to me and wants to have a talk about that, we'll have a full conversation about that and then Mary Pat and I will make that decision about what we want to do with our future," Christie said in a Fox News interview before Christmas. "But my view is, I think if you fast-forward the tape to a year from now, I think it's going to be President-elect Romney and some other VP-elect - and Chris Christie, the governor of New Jersey."
Christie repeatedly has said he would not be a good second fiddle. "Do I look like somebody's vice president?" he said at one point.
Another name very much in the mix: Florida's junior senator, Marco Rubio, a charismatic Cuban American with nine years in the state legislature on his resumé, including a term as speaker of the Florida House, and strong support from tea party activists. Presumably Rubio, 40, could help carry Florida, which will be as pivotal as ever, and also appeal to Latino voters, the nation's fastest-growing minority group, which has been drifting to the Democrats in a big way in recent years.
But here's a Pennsylvania angle on the veepstakes: Some handicappers even think Rick Santorum might be a good No. 2.
The former Pennsylvania senator has right-wing street credibility and is strong among evangelical Christians and other social-issues conservatives - important parts of the GOP coalition. As the grandson of an immigrant coal miner, Santorum also is a Northeasterner with a working-class sensibility (Did you hear him from Iowa on Tuesday night, describing his grandfather's hands?). Pennsylvania is a swing state, and, until his landslide loss to Bob Casey in 2006, Santorum had demonstrated strong appeal to economically stressed but culturally conservative whites

What are odds on Newt and Sarah?
It’s looking grim when this kind of speculation gets tossed about. If Romney wins the primary in South Carolina, he’s going to be difficult to stop. Conservatives need to rally around one alternative ASAP.
The odds for Newt are zero, if that. Sarah Palin’s odds are somewhat better, if she’s interested. But it’s not clear that she’s interested.
How about Daley? He needs a job, doesn’t he?
Christie on the other hand is a true blue (or purple) RINO. He an Romney would be a perfect match.
There is no one that Romney could pick that would get me to vote for him. NO ONE.

I’d likely hold my nose and vote Republican if there were a conservative on the ticket with Romney. If they try to foist two RINOs on us, I just won’t be able to do it.

Palin will remain an analyst. Newt doesnt take seconds. Santorum doesnt have the IT Factor that draws headlines ongoing.

As I said, it looks grim. Of all Republicans running, Romney is my last choice and I won’t vote for him in the primary no matter what. But the general election is another matter. Anything is better than four more years of Obama.

If Allen or Rubio are not the most likely and positive choice I don’t know who is. Santorum or Christie IF Mitt is the nominee will guarantee a democrat win.....Lord we are so stupid.
They could dig up RR to run as VP and I still would not vote for Romney. The conservative base is done with voting for RINOs. Romney will be the biggest loser ever to the weakest and most evil incumbent president.

Who knows. I just saw the 1st line of the News media’s script against Romney tonight.
Brian Williams debuted their script with a teaser.
He says that NBC found “a lost” news vignette of George Romney running for President.
In the video Romney forcefully proclaims his family was Revolution Refugees, from the Mexican revolution and they family emigrated to the United States.
The story then ends as “just something interesting”.
Mitt is going to take it in the Azz when they start telling the glorious story of the Romney’s.
The next scene will be why the Romney’s were in Mexico.
