Ken Eyring (co-founder of the Southern NH 9.12 Project) and Tom Flaherty (founder of the Greater Nashua Tea Party) joined forces on WGIR radio this morning to promote the 2012 Republican Presidential Candidates Positions Matrix, which lists the positions of the leading GOP Presidential candidates on over sixty issues. The project was a joint effort between their two groups as well as with members of the NH 9.12 Liberty Action Team.

No question a lot of work went into this. The facts bear out Ron Paul as most in accord with my values as a citizen of the United States. Understand how out of sync I may be with fellow Freepers. One area where everyone on the GOP slate is strong: Energy independence.

Thanks for the post.

Nice, but there’s nothing in the matrix that addresses the candidates’ positions on defense and the military. Given the Zer0’s current “project” to gut the military, that’s a key issue for the future of the US.

Now that Bachman is out of the race, it’s either Paul or Santorum for me.

They also skipped a lot of things that contradict some candidate’s postions. A lot of the yes and no indicators should be yes/no or maybe.

Adding my thanx ..... forwarded to several correspondents.

Also sent a copy to my Dim friend, sans all the other addresses, so he can't add them to the mailing lists of the Chicago Death Star spamattack machine.

Thanks again for thoughtfully posting the link.

I saw a section on defense and military down in the matrix. It has a couple surprises in it.

You’re welcome.

We were getting ready to perform much of the same research for our local Tea Party to place in the papers before our state’s primary as a voting guide. It saves us a lot of work :)

There is a section labeled that way, but it’s much pretty narrow, focusing mainly on the US-Israel relationship. Nothing on military budget, weapons systems, troop strength, etc. The closest it comes to that is the candidate’s position on ending the Afghanistan war, which is not that indicative of their position on the military overall.
