Iowa’s Vote Count From Last Week Still Not Certified
New American ^ | January 10, 2012 | Written by Kurt Hyde

The results of last week’s Iowa caucuses have still not yet been certified. The Iowa GOP leadership decided to accumulate the vote totals of the caucuses at a secret location based on a threat that they received from a group called Anonymous.

But now, the secrecy decision by the Iowa GOP leadership is beginning to haunt them. KCCI-TV in Des Moines reported that one of participants in the vote count, Edward True of Moulton, Iowa, compared his totals to those posted by the Iowa GOP and found a discrepancy. The discrepancy is in Mitt Romney’s favor by 20 votes. True’s total for Mitt Romney at his caucus was 2 votes, but the Iowa GOP showed 22 votes.

[snip]

One of the announcers at KCCI-TV speculated that this 20-vote discrepancy might mean that Rick Santorum was the actual winner. That might be the case if this is the only discrepancy. But this is a good time to review why most states in America have had laws in the past mandating that the vote counts and vote accumulations be done in public. That is because altering precinct results has been used as an electoral fraud tactic.

If this is True then Rick Santorum won Iowa fair and square. There was cheating to get Romney to win.

I think the fix is in, and Romney-the-RINO will be spouting “we’ve won in Iowa, and New Hampshire, and now ON TO S.Carolina” (where he’ll get his ass handed to him, but will down-play it, since he’s the Chosen One, and nothing will matter anyway at the Convention. This is a scripted Establishment Game (the Primaries), and the State-Run-Media campaign for Romney-the-RINO since 2008 is already working its magic on fools who watch and listen to the “Polls”.

It doesn’t really matter, as no one was elected. It was essentially a straw poll last Tuesday, a “presidential preference poll.”

Delegate selection will occur at a later date.

You can rest assured there will not be 24/7 news coverage and media hype when Iowans elect delegates to the Republican National Convention.

I just heard Megyn Kelly on Fox say that in 1976 was the last time a Republican candidate won Iowa and N. Hampshire and that person went on to win the nomination. I believe that was an incumbent, Gerald Ford, was it not?

Besides, if the vote count has not been certified in Iowa, then he did not win officially. Even if the votes have been certified, 8 points is certainly not a win. Not in a caucus.

That doesn’t really matter. For now “Mitt won IA” is a talking point being used to inject momentum into his campaign because “hey, a win is a win!”

Only after that talking point becomes irrelevant later in the season, will the real count come out and reveal any potential discrepancies.

Ok; let's fix the misleading part of the article right now.

The statewide vote totals were counted with reps from every candidate there watching.
They were in a “secret” location; but not secret to the candidate reps who were there. Iowa was crawling with Occupy types; so this was a prudent thing to do.

Each of the 1,700 precincts however were counted on site and the results phones in or sent electronically. Candidate reps also watched each precinct's counting if they wanted.

There was a 20 vote swing for the Romster in this one precinct.
Santorum said he doesn't care, because he knew of a 20 vote swing the other way.

So lets not get “the fix is in” conspiracy talk started as so many people are always eager to do.

We have heard of just these 2 vote discrepancies in 1,700 precincts. The results are out there for all to see.
Many people will write down the vote totals at their precinct as they are announced.
And they will prob ably do as I did; get on the website and see if they matched. I checked and mine matched.

Yes, the fix is in with the Republican “establishment.” Romney is the “It’s my turn candidate.” And we thought only the RAT Party did stuff like this. The truth is that there is scum on both sides of the toilet bowl. The Iowa GOP “chairman” who announced the win could not look the audience in the eye. He appeared almost as sleazy as Debbie Wassermann-Shittz

No fix.
There are just no strong candidates out there. Romney has has his people that will always be with him . With a strong conservative candidate; Romeny would be history.
