Yes but in terms of fund raising it is off the hook for Santorum and Newt's base as someone noted last night is retirees and generational and his pool of voters is smaller as it getting sub-divided.

Now if Santorum can pick up a Herman Cain endorsement, maybe Perry and Bachmann, now we are talking the final mano-e-mano "Anti-Romney".

Now if Palin trumps in and extracts some women scorned revenge on Romney, The RNC Establishment, and the Punditry Class? I'd dance the Jig....

( Especially if you have read the threads as to Romney has done to destroy her the last 4 years).

Newt’s fundraising is off the hood.

Several million just from one big donor this week.

Just providing some fair and balanced...

To: taildragger; All

Gingrich just got $5 Million dollars and is spending $3.4M in SC in advertising. He has another $15M coming from the same source.

There is no way Gingrich will bow out when Perry is sitting at 5%, Huntsman at the bottom and Santorum has a million dollars to spend. The polls show a difference between 25% and 20% between Romney and Gingrich with Romney leading.

If anything, I would say Newt is trying to get the others to drop out. The Tea Party Express and I hope Palin will be making a choice before SC. Their endorsement could shake up things entirely. I would be shocked if Palin supported Santorum. And, Perry is not getting traction in SC. Perry may not even be eligible for the next debates.

Agreed.

It is my opinion Romney is the reason Obama is president.

In my opinion again, Romney was so worried Palin would win and eventually become a wildly popular and successful president, that he and his flying monkeys attacked her from the first second (remember all the nastiness from establishment Republicans at the time - who just happened to have been Romneybots)

It’s the Karl Rove wing of the GOP.

They don’t do things for America. They do things for themselves.

Correct. Gingrich pretty much soiled himself with the Michael Moore style attack on Bain Capital, bait which Santorum wisely declined to take.

The oldest conservative reservations on Santorum are going on six years old. Everytime I think I could bring myself to vote for Newt, he makes another appallingly stupid statement. Attacking Paul Ryan for "rightwing social engineering" was even dumber than the Bain Capital attack. Newt still has a lot to learn, but I'm afraid he is too old to learn it now.

Still, I think the man is brilliant and would be outstanding as a debate coach, speechwriter, cabinet member or even VP to Rick Santorum.
