David Axelrod, chief political strategist for President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign and former White House political adviser, defended Jeremiah Wright on Tuesday evening in a speech in Thousand Oaks, CA.
Axelrod described the initial news reports in 2008 on Obama’s long-time family pastor and mentor as “ninety seconds of vitriol plucked from thirty years of sermons by some enterprising opposition researcher.”
The claim that Wright’s sermons were selectively edited by Obama’s political opponents contradicts what is known about Wright’s preaching and the radical, racialist creed of the Trinity United Church of Christ, to which Obama belonged for two decades and to which he contributed a large amount of money.
Axelrod’s claim is also contradicted by Obama himself, who has cited Wright’s enthusiasm for radical politics as the main reason he was attracted to the church.

I think they are in panic mode. Expect more of this as we get close to November. The truth is the truth and you can’t change that, but they will try.

I do not trust or like Axelrod. IMHO, he is the definition of sleaze. Although he looks like a salesman you’d see at Shifty’s Used Cars, I would definitely NEVER buy a used car from him.
I hate it when people take a few innocent comments out of context and try to make the speaker look bad:

Another illustration of the politically tone deaf Obama administration. Axelrod obviously still can’t tell the difference between a talking point and a political land mine. The complete refusal of the MSM to criticize anything coming out of these fools mouths has fostered a culture of “just say anything, no matter how much ignorance it reveals”.
It clearly revealed Jeremiah Wright as a paranoid, delusional, hateful, racist, communist anti-American bigot.

Ok, so let me see if I understand....for 30 years, Wright is a fine, patriotic, upstanding American...but for 90 seconds he hates this Country with an abnormal passion not normally seen in public, much less in a “church”....it was just those 90 seconds out of 30 years...Well, ok then.... /s
