LGBT Newspaper Details Romney’s Support Of Gay Agenda

Bay Windows, an LGBT newspaper in Boston has posted a lengthy article on its site detailing Mitt Romney’s long-time support of the gay political agenda.

The article notes that in 2002, the Romney for Governor Committee authorized campaign flyers that championed “gay pride.”

In 1994, Romney wrote to the Massachusetts Log Cabin Republicans and pledged to be a hero to the LGBT community. Romney is also quoted as saying:

“For some voters it might be enough for me to simply match my opponent’s record in this area. But I believe we can and must do better. If we are to achieve the goals we share, we must make equality for gays and lesbians a mainstream concern. My opponent cannot do this. I can and will.”

“I respect all people regardless of their differences,” Romney told Bay Windows in 1994. “There’s something to be said for having a Republican who supports civil rights in this broader context, including sexual orientation. …I think the gay community needs more support from the Republican party and I would be a voice in the Republican party to foster anti-discrimination efforts.”

Has any male from the Romney family served in the military? Ever? Romney and his sons are six dodgers of military service. And I don´t think anyone in this family has ever served in any American military conflict.

You are right on all accounts. Newt seems to be polling ahead of the other not-Romneys in Florida too and the last Ohio poll (my home-state) I saw had Newt favored 2:1 over Mitt. If we could narrow the race down to Romney versus Newt, Romney would be screwed going into Florida and then into super Tuesday. I think it will be imperative that we give buckeye Republicans a candidate that they seem to strongly favor as opposed to a candidate that they’re not so enthused about because we need to maximize republican turn out in swing states and especially in Ohio if history is any indicator of future events.

I don’t get the support for homosexuals with the the mormon identity. Arent’ mormons highly conservative when it comes to social issues?

Or is he really even a mormon at all?

How do mormons square this with their beliefs?? Always thought they were strictly pro-family, at least the ones I know personally.

What is wrong with Santorum? He has scored higher than Newt in Iowa and NH . He doesn’t have the baggage Newt has. Every time I see Newt’s third wife, I think about the affairs he has had. Any conservative that stays home on election day is giving Obama one half a vote. BO is by far the worst POTUS this country has ever had. We must vote him out.

they are supposed to be and they helped to stop prop 8 but Romney will be anything, hell he’ll be muslim if he thought it would help him.

Just seeing the socially liberal half baked RINO with his family smiling after the OPEN NORTH EAST NEW ENGLAND STATE WIN pissed me off.

We have got to stop splitting the vote and for the love of this country Newt, Rick have go to talk to Newt and I’m sad to say Perry needs to now drop out and help conservatives stop Romney

Sickening. But old news. Willard must be stopped or the republican party has effectively merged with the liberal democrats. No difference at all when this immoral flip-flopper sitting in the White House. He’s a disgrace to everything the republican party stands for.

Willard does not support the teachings of his church and never has. He’s pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, etc, anti-traditional marriage (don’t care what he says). The mormans are pretty conservative. Not Willard. Maybe they think about kicking his liberal ass out of the church.

Sorry, I don't know what the problem is. But what I posted was the complete article. The only thing missing would be the link in the article's text to Bay Windows and this link IS working!

Nothing is wrong with Santorum except he is fading. I just listened to one news person say that Newt beat Santorum in New Hampshire.

Newt also leads Santorum by a substantial amount in S. Carolina.

But Newt and Rick need to get together and say I will run, you give me your votes and support and one of us will be the VP.
newt is great as a VP because he can go into attack mode against bozo and dopey plus attack the bias media.

I couldn't agree more! The question is, would Newt agree? Does he have the humility to drop out while he's ahead in the polls? This is certainly a test of his patriotism.

Newt is leading Santorum in S Carolina (see here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2831983/posts)

Newt also has money and Santorum doesn’t.

Santorum is also young enough to take a VP slot or a Defense/State Dept cabinet position and be a formidable candidate in 8 years.

The only thing Mitt Romney cares about is being President Mitt Romney.

No principles, whatever gets him elected in the end. I find it sad that we haven’t had somebody smack him down already.

Why aren’t these pro-homo agenda Romney quotes run and repeated around the clock by the conservative candidates? I would venture to guess that many Romney supporters, particularly evangelicals, if you can believe that, are completely ignorant of this position of his. It would be a major game changer.

I think a cult built on sex harems, power, wealth, to war against Christianity, and the men becoming Gods, might not be as conservative as some people think.

Romney himself was a Bishop, and will probably continue to advance in rank inside the religion, he is already a part of the secretive elite, 15%.

I have heard conflicting reports. One says that Gingrich finally ended up on top and the other than Santorum ended up with a few more votes. I’ll have to research to find the exact number of votes if they’re posted anywhere yet. If I find it, I’ll send you the link.
