Burger King is testing delivery in a few Washington, D.C. area restaurants as part of a test that will include 16 restaurants by January 23.
The fast food chain, however, did not provide details on the timing of a national rollout.
Burger King already has successful delivery programs around the world, including in Mexico, Turkey, Brazil, Columbia and Peru, Burger King spokeswoman Kristin Hauser said in a statement.

The fries will be cold!
Just wait til one of the delivery-persons gets shot in the hood because they didn’t bring enough ketchup. But then I assume these stores aren’t in the part of DC I’d be afraid to go into in broad daylight.
Yippee.
I prefer Wendy’s.
At least Wendy’s can admit their founder is dead. Burger is in denial, because their founder, who has become a mascot, has been plasticized.
...yeah what are they going to delivery burgers in ...a troop carrier?
I can’t! NOw all I have to do is figure out how to get Chinese takeout to deliver and then I’ll be in paradise.
The fries will be cold!
My exact feeling on this. If they ever deliver, I might order some burgers for the family, but never the fries. Even when I go through the drive through, I never order the fries because by the time I get home they are “disgusting”. I do order them when I eat in and enjoy them.
I just find it ironic that the more our kitchens get cluttered with food preparation gadgets like microwaves, blenders, toaster ovens, popcorn makers, Foreman grills, etc., the more we end up paying a premium to have junk food like pizza, chinese food and now burgers and fries, delivered to our homes.
Somehow I doubt BK is going to deliver my normal order which is exclusively from the dollar menu.
Whataburger rules! Wish there was one in Colorado Springs. : (
Stop rubbing it in. I’ll get one in March!
I wonder, in Peru do they have Guinea Pig whoppers?
Haven’t tried Whataburger yet, but I was utterly amazed with In-N-Out. Awesome service and great food, FAST!
Those kids were enjoying themselves, too, you could see the pride and accomplishment they felt pumping the orders out (secret menu and all) in 4 minutes or less, (unless your fries were “well-done”. That takes 5 extra minutes).
This was in two different cities 160 miles apart in AZ, YMMV.
Wendy’s-meh; BK, whatever; Rotten Ronnies in a pinch. I’d rather A&W, but they can be slow at the very times I need it fast, and vice-versa.
Probably.
